Default Please - stop me from killing my cat

First off - no I won't really kill him but get this..

lately I've noticed some of my FAVORITE coats/sweaters and even socks have been chewed through. I had a mouse problem at my old apartment and blamed it on that. Well today I go and put on my $300+ Vince sweater which I ADORE and found 3 HUGE holes. I've come to the conclusion that my cat has been doing it. There is cat drool around the holes too.

What do I do!? I usually keep my stuff off the floor or from his reach but our laundry is on the floor bc we have no where else to put it!!

He knows I'm pissed today - he's curled up on his bed.

Maybe you should buy a hamper with a cover on it so your cat won't be able to get to your clothes.

Ha... don't kill the cat!!! lol.

Ummm... how about limiting areas where the cat can go to?? Close doors and stuff.... My dog loooves to chew my moms shoes... so we make sure the door to her closet is always closed!!!

haha. i totally see where you are coming from.. i have 2 cats that LOVE (not like) to snag my clothes, scratch carpet, chew on plants, ect. but i love my kitties so i cant get mad at them

anyway, I agree with mud - maybe get a hamper / laundry sack something.

What about those motion activated misters that you can buy at petstores? When kitty goes somewhere it doesn't belong, it gets misted with a little water.

My 2 kittens are bad with that stuff too. They clawed the carpet, edges of the furniture, my curtains, and one chewed on the coaster...

Yeah, I would get a plastic hamper with a lid on it.

My kitten is pretty bad with scratching, so I just ordered some kitten sized SoftClaws in pastel pink! I hope hope hope this works because there is no way that I'll ever get her declawed. Other than that, I've taught her not to bite by using a regular spray bottle filled with water. Suprisingly, it only took a couple of tries for her to understand that if she bites, she'll get sprayed!!
