People selling fakes on Craigslist.org - Designer Handbag & Purse Chat.. The Bag Forum

My aunt introduced this site to me. I thought I'd check out if there were any purses (not to buy!).

And I found this ad:
I have four purses for sale that are all designer. I have Chanel-Prada-Burberry-and Louis Vuitton. They are brand new with tags(and dust covers). I bought them directly from the factory they are made at. Which is in China of course. Please look at them before you judge them as a knock-off. They are very very nice. I consider them the real deal since they came from the actual factory. You be the judge. Even a good knock-off is worth 100.00-300.00 dollars. The quality is excellent.

Omg, you can't buy any of those brands for under $300.00 NEW! And a knock-off bag IS NOT worth a dime let alone hundreds!! I wish some people would just learn what conterfeit bags benefit. I can guarantee they are fake.

There's all kinds of scams that go one on Craig's List... just like just about everywhere else their is an open market.

This ad doesn't surprise me one bit, but it still sucks though.

I think fakes are completely pointless - why would anyone want to be seen with one? Horrible quality no matter what the seller says.

hhahahah i will say that the knock-offs in China are great though. while there on business i checked out a few and was surprised. i didn't buy but i had to look! also - you can get thrown in jail if you go through customs and they catch you with a fake!! screw that!

that's not true at all actually. it's the factories in China that are desperate for money. i know a factory that i used to work with, we used to produce our goods with them but they weren't the best to work with so we switched to another factory. well lo-and-behold we saw fakes of our items being produced and found out it was our old factory still trying to make a few bucks off our brand name. they had the ability to do it too bc they still had all our trim molds, leftover fabric yardage and tech packs. typically you try and take out whatever you can but they have copies of everything no matter what.

I emailed the lady who is selling them, she said she bought them 'from the factory that produces the real thing too'. Hm...

What a joke. How can they not filter out this stuff or have a team in place to (try) and prevent this from being posted

^^Oh, I know. If it's illegal, why can they sell them?

Here's another with FUGLY pictures:
first Vuitton bag was a gift a year or two ago... used for 2 weeks did not like the strap on the front... been in the closet since... time for it to have a good home. $150.00 or reasonable offer will be considered.
Second bag, bought at an Estate sale for my daughter but was a little to "busy or Jazzy" for her so it needs to go. $85.00 or reasonable offer will be considered.

Cash & pick up only...
Must go by December 27th... cleaning out old home to move...
