Here's a hypothetical question... and you guys can come up with some too. I think it would be fun to see how people would answer to some strange-situation questions.

Okay... so, the holidays are coming up and one of your relatives knows that you like handbags and accessories. So what would you do, if God forbid, that they gave you a fake handbag as a gift?

And never ever wear it.... EVER!!!!! Maybe if they ask about the bag and question me as if I use it or not... I will say "yes... all the time" and just talk about how people compliment me on my new ::cough...cough... FAKE... cough::: bag. Ha... It just depends on how close I am to that relative...

If I like the relative and there's reasonable possibility that either they were deceived or simply didn't have the money for a real one, I'd politely thank them and never wear it except to see them.

If I don't like the relative, I'll keep wearing a REAL bag from the original company every time I see them so that its obvious I've caught on. And if I really don't like them, I'll wear it to a family reunion where others might come with a real bag or be able to tell the difference and then publicly announce how I love this bag given to me by that relative. ooh i'm such a meanie.

I would thank her for the thoughtfulness! Then I would ask is there a gift receipt? I would let her know I already have one!!! Maybe from then on she would get only ones that came with gift receipt. That way I could return I confront the seller and tell them I want my $ back or will report them for selling FAKES!

well my family has had it's share of giving me some pretty awful things - like one year a red, turtleneck boucle sweater. argh! boucle is my enemy and i have sworn to NEVER wear that crap. i think i ended up donating it to the salvation army. so if i got a fake - i'd donate it.

however - chances are my family would never buy a fake. my mom only does it for herself at those lil bag parties that her friends have. and i have no quarms about that - it's her money and she has fun. she's also cute because she doesn't know name brands and she buys the bag just because she likes it and has no clue it is meant to relate to a specific brand. oh mom :)

but my mom knows i don't go for that stuff. i think the rest of my family isn't into fakes at all. if i did get a fake for the holidays - i'm almost positive it was because my family member was deceived and i'd let them know that and we'd return it.

Ufffff about bags my relatives know me quite well : as I like designer bags, or I buy it by myself, or I ask one as a birthday, christmas, or good girl gift

and I have a good excuse : I said to all my relatives that I hate gifts (not true!) so they are forbidden to buy me anything ... I am so afraid to be in the awful surprise gift situation
So ... a fake bag... they know me quite well enough, they will never do this
