I'm so pissed! My birthday was a week ago... and I was supposed to renew my driver's license this year! They sent me a notice back in MAY

and I just shoved it somewhere and completely forgot about it. I don't know why I remembered all of the sudden... but I've been driving around for a week with an expired license. I'm so upset now because I don't know if they will let me renew my license or not. What if they make me take a driving test? You know I wouldn't be able to parallel park if my life depended on it!!!! Oh crap! What am I going to do? My dad said to just walk in there to renew my license and act as if nothing is wrong.

Perhaps they won't notice?

oh no- no you shouldnt have anything to worry about. (i dont think) here is washington you dont have to re-take the test.. just pay an extra fee or something.. and they have to mail it to you.

you should be fine.

Really? Hope not too much of a fine... LOL! I'm kinda short on cash at the moment.

Well my dad said he had let his lapse one time... but this was like 20 years ago. He said that they made him take the test. But perhaps things have changed since then.

I've never been late on renewing my dl, but from what i know you dont have to retake the test.

I had to renew my license this year too by my birthday and i just did it online....i got it in the mail in 10 days.....i didnt have to take any test whatsoever....i think i payed like 15 bucks....super easy...

Geez, wish it was that simple around here. LOL! I have to go down to the DMV no matter what... gotta prove I am who I say I am, you know?

Whew! Okay... I went into the DMV and I acted as if nothing was wrong. And... they didn't say anything... at all! LOL! No extra fees either... they just gave me a new license.

Hmm... perhaps there have been budget cuts in their department and they can't afford to conduct new driving tests for every ditsy person that forgets about their renewal notice. ::shrugs::
Well... I guess I can continue NOT parallel parking. LOL!

oh my gosh i cant parallel park for nothing! and i live in the city. seriously i will drive around the block until i find an easy-to-park spot

I did that once here in Delaware and I think they charged me an extra $10 for the oversight.
