So I've worked in the apparel industry doing development and design for about a year. I am only 22 - went to the Fashion Institute - got a job outta college! Unfortunately a year later ... my dream job got moved to California and I couldn't afford to move. Only that specific apparel division moved... the company is still in town.

So yesturday I went for an interview with the same company for Womens Bags! I'd be doing design and development! I'm really excited.. I should hear from them by the end of this week. WISH ME LUCK!! I'm so sick and tired of being unemployed.. it's not the money that bugs me... it's the lack of using my brain (and daytime TV SUCKS to high hell)

it's for Burton Snowboards - they have a sub-division called Gravis. right now it's in need of some lovin' and i'd be in charge of that! i really want to make a name for myself and get that bag line in magazines! previous to this i've designed womens snowboard outerwear for another company and was working for Burton doing womens apparel. i'm a pretty active snowboarder/surfer so it's right up my alley. i've wanted to work in this industry since the beginning of college when i realized the fashion industry is full of mean nasty bitches... i figured if i have to deal with those types of people... at least let me go surf/ride in the morning before that!! haha.

So when do you know if you got the job? Or does the interviewing process require a second interview? If you get called back for another interview, its still a good sign.

ah ya well the 1st girl i interviewed with (who would be my manager) flew off to China yesturday. apparently she gave good news to HR and they had me then interview with someone from HR and then the VP of the division!! I think things went really well - i can only hope! I might have 1 more interview after this... i don't like these long, drawn out ordeals... ya know? i want this SO bad and it's like "AHH everytime my phone rings for the past WEEK i have mini strokes!"
