Yeah paypal really sucks.... so i sold a pair of shoes for like $5. or something but with international shipping it came to like $60-ish... well the person filed a claim with paypal and even said "took forever to receive"... I and help the delay at USPS and the borders!
Turns out the only way to "respond" to the claim is if you have the tracking number!!!!! i dont have the f'ing tracking number anymore - actually i never got one!!!
i just cant believe they refunded the whole amount even though the person said they received it. good thing it was only $60!!! if it was more, gosh.
Unfortunately that is the way it goes most of the time. If a buyer files a complaint, Paypal usually takes their side over the seller's... even if the buyer is the one who's in the wrong. It's really not fair... that's why I haven't been selling stuff lately.

its ridiculous. and alot of people (esp me when buying) want to go through paypal because its easer - faster.
And safer... you can get your money back if you get ripped off by a seller. Unfortunately, it does not offer as many perks for sellers. And, of course, there is a such thing as scammer buyers... which ruin it for the rest of us.
Look at it this way Jennifer, if you want to be a successful seller you have to offer what the consumer wants. With that, you are taking a risk... you win some and you lose some. I've lost money selling on ebay before, its just a part of doing business.

Yeah, but like me I sell bags that are close to and sometimes more than $1000 and I would FREAK if this happened to me on such a high priced item. It's scary that's for sure!
I dont consider myself an "ebay seller"... not something I am focusing on.... but it is an awesome way to get rid of all of my designer clothes, rather then just throwing them away.
I just think that paypal should focus more (then the minimal job of what they are doing) on buyer/seller complaints... i was totally shocked that I couldn't even respond to the persons "claim" without having a tracking number... that's optional if the buyer wants to pay extra (right?? )
Yes, it is optional and more money when you mail something. I normally require people to purchase insurance or delivery confirmation and add it into the shipping price.
