Security Alarm Goes Off Randomly
Upon leaving the store has your bag or something within caused the security alarm to go off? It’s firkin embarrassing, isn't it?!


A while back, somebody in the bag forum brought this up and I wasn’t that surprised because every once and a while I hear people talking about their cell phone or ipod setting off the sensitive alarms. Every once and while though, not all the time. Well to all of you who are positively sure that it’s not a piece of your technology, then check for a security tag (!).


Do you see that little security tag peaking out of my wallet? Well I didn’t. After setting off the security alarm over a dozen times during a weeks span I finally realized that it wasn’t my cell or ipod setting it off – it was a security tag hiding in my wallet!

yeah... it didnt get scanned properly when I left the store.. you know after you purchase something they are suppose to run it over their magnetic strip thing to deactive it, but they didnt.. ... i think the wallet is helen welsh (i think)

I think I brought that up in another thread from awhile ago. I had known someone who had a security sticker that was inside their purse. They bought the purse at Burlington Coat Factory, but every time she came into the store I worked at the alarm would go off. Apparently we have the same security system frequency as them.
