Ok so one dress is at my parent's house and I'm waiting for the other one to ship.

So next up is flowers. I really wanted ranunculus but since they're only available from Feb to May then I had to change. I switched to lisianthus because they're similar to the ranunculus. So I'm doing pink and white lisianthus, pink peonies, and pale pink and ivory roses. So here is what I've picked out for different things:

For the table centerpieces, two of them:

Peony and lisianthus. Pink peonies and I like the pink lisianthus that are a little more white in the center and not too pink.

For the mantle centerpieces, two of them:

This is just for reference. I'd like two cascading arrangements. I like the idea of having ivory and lighter pale pink roses mixed in with the lisianthus. I'm not sure if the peonies would look ok in an arrangement like this but I guess I would have to see it to know.

    For my bouquet:

Something like this would be good. I don't want one that is too big, just something small like this one. I like the idea of white and pink lisianthus mixed together with maybe a few pale pink roses in there. I don't like the green stems sticking out. I was thinking a pale blue ribbon around the stems.

    For the grooms boutonniere:

Pink lisianthus, simple and not too big, like the ones above

Boutonnieres for the bride and groom's fathers:
White lisianthus, simple and not too big, same as the groom's

Corsages for the bride and groom's mothers:
    Leti-corsage-e130&#.jpg
White lisianthus with white roses. The pictures is for size reference because I don't want them wearing something too big.

Ok so we can't get peonies since they aren't available after the end of May, so I'm going to do cabbage roses. They look similar to peonies and aren't boring like regular roses:

I finally got my shoes! Here are some modeling pictures. Good thing Matt is tall because these are like 5.5". The color on these are super hard to capture.

Ok so the shoes are semi uncomfortable, but I'm just going to suck it up. The size is fine, but the toe box is small, like almost every pair of CLs, so I need to try and stretch it, although I don't think I'm going to be able too since it's not leather. Oh well, I'll just have to suck it up, lol.

I'm impatiently waiting for my second dress to be shipped on June 16th. That's the one I want more so I hope it's as good as I think it will be. I know you guys want to see them, but I'm keeping them a secret The only reason I have two is so that I can choose between them. I have a feeling it will be the second one.

LOL....told you! My Simple Pumps are simply unbearable. LOL The stuffing them with socks actually does work...but you have to stuff them REALLY hard into the shoes and leave them. Also, I've been wearing them around the house with my socks on. Like when I sit and watch TV or whatever...then wear them for like 10-20 min without socks while I'm up and around. They'll give a little over time...patience!!! Just wear them EVERY day to speed up the process. <sigh>...they are so beautiful!!!

I've been wearing them around the house, with and without socks, and also doing the sock stuffing trick. It's just because the toe box is narrow so I think it will be fine. My toes will just go numb during the day so then I won't feel any pain, haha.

Matt and I actually met when we were in middle school. We lived in the same neighborhood and the whole neighborhood was kids our age, so everyone would play together, like flashlight tag and all of those fun games. We never were really friends since he was a grade older, but we knew of each other in high school and stuff. We finally hung out together when my best friend's little sister was graduating high school. I went to the party and Matt's parents made him go since my friend's parents and Matt's parents were good friends. Basically from that day on we hung out and finally started going out and the rest is history, lol. Our parents still live down the street from each other.

Very cute story. I finally caught up with all your wedding plans. Congrats in advance!

That really stinks about the shoes! They do look uncomfortable. Maybe all of things you are doing will work in time for your wedding day. *Fingers Crossed*

Those shoes are hot! Although you can pretty much guarantee that your feet are going to be a little sore by the end of the evening. Are you doing an outfit change?

Congratulations to you and your fiancée

Shoe update! I have had my thickest socks stuffed into them for a week in my closet. I took them out yesterday to pack them in my suitcase and I thought I should try them on, because, well, I'm in love with them. Well the socks somehow worked amazingly because they don't pinch my feet anymore at all, and they're not going numb after 5 minutes, lol.

Also my second dress came on Monday and I LOOOVVEEEEE it. There IS only one slight problem, it's not that long in the front. So you can see my shoes sort of, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. In the back you can't see them, and not really on the sides, it's mainly just seeing the bottom of the front of the shoes and my toes and part of the bow. Here's a peak at what it looks like. Do you think it's too much shoe showing?

I don't think it is necessarily too much shoe. It depends on what sort of look you are going for. Does the dress have a sweep train or anything? You also need to consider the position of the skirt in relation to your shoes for walking purposes. With my dress, I found myself having to walk carefully because when I stepped forward, my toes would grab at the hem of my dress in the front. This was partly the bridal salon's fault. They used one slip (one of those petticoat kinds) when taking measurements for hemming. But then on my wedding day, they gave me a different slip that wasn't quite as fluffy so the dress hung down a little lower.
