    Question Jess' Wedding help/advice thread!!!

    OK, so I got engaged on 3/4/11. We plan on having our wedding in June of 2012. We were thinking of a fall wedding, but now that I think more into it, I want a summer wedding!

    So far, we've picked out a couple reception places we want to look at, I've looked at dresses (might need your opinion on them, lol), we've started making a list, and that's it.



    What else it next?!

    Invitations? .....My brother and his Fiance are also in the process of planning a June wedding. They told me that with just the ivitations alone are stressfull. lol

    Lol, well I have to figure out the guest list first. Then you send them out like 2 months before. I have an invite in mind though!

    Photographer! That's a big one. You will want to look at several photographers and their portfolios. Compare prices and then pick one that has a good balance (price vs quality).

    We booked ours one year in advance. If you have someone in mind that you really want, then you want to make sure get them booked as soon as you know.

    Well it doesn't hurt to start looking since you have to set up appointments to look at their portfolios. Different photographers have different styles, so you'll want to find one who's work you are satisfied with.

    Good luck in all your planning Jess! Matt and I are going to do low-key so we won't have to worry so much about the wedding and reception.

    My suggestion is to register with TheKnot.com, there's a lot of useful advice on there!
