    Default On a new diet**

    OK ladies, wish me luck
I started on a new diet today. I decided to combine the cleanse system's thinking and added some more healthy foods to it, so it will be a balanced meal. Being a vegetarian, it is a little challenging to find a meal that is limited on carbs (my biggest killer)

Typically for weight loss, the total calorie consumption should not exceed 1200 calories/day. To maintain weight the goal is 1400-1500 calories. If you are in a more intense and hardworking environment (rather than sitting at a computer station) a higher calorie intake will be required.

I started breakfast with 1 cup of tea and 1 boiled egg.

    Mid-morning, another cup of tea.

For lunch today i had a juice of 2 carrots, 1 apple and 1/2 a tomato. It tasted Ok but the cosistency was yucky....need to figure a better way out. I don't have a juicer...any suggestions?

I am also monitoring my weight and dimensions to see how i do...

I wish you luck! My suggestion, don't weigh yourself everyday! That's what always made me give up on my diets in the past. I would feel like I had a great day, ate healthy, worked out, then I would check the scale and see that I gained a pound or something. I threw mine away and base it all on how I feel and look in the mirror. If that makes sense.

You get so much more nutrition from eating your vegetables rather than using a juicer. In my opinion. However, juicers make it taste better, plus you can make some really delicious juices.

    Good luck!!!

Thanks IAD. I don't weigh myself everyday, but i keep looking at the pants that fit well 4 months ago and now i feel like a sausage in it

I just had a good balanced dinner (the diet says, no eating after 7 pm). I had 2 pieces of bread, i cup of steamed veggies and 1 cup of lentils. feel pretty content.
I was very crabby in the evening though!

Great advice about the scale I_A_D. Maybe not toss out the scale though, but rather check once a week or something.

FU, I think you should totally invest in a juicer. I am such a juicer-addict. I love mine so much. I use it atleast once a day. It was my best kitchen investment ever.

Alot of diets recommend that, so you have time to digest your food before you hop in bead. Another way to think of it, if your a night owl, is don't eat a few hours before bed.

Good luck on your diet FU

Hey FedUp, I have a great Oatmeal, banana pancake recipe you might wanna try?
It has your carb., protein and fruit all in one large pancake, very healthy. but I do use a little I can't believe it's not butter.
