    Default Confessions

Ok, so I'm starting a "confessions" thread. If this totally doesn't work out, Mods please feel free to delete.

Every once in a while I need to "confess" and get things off my chest. There are some big confessions that eat at me and there are small ones I can live with. I'm sure we all have them and sometimes I just need a place to let it out.

So maybe this can be where you can get something off your chest. It can be small or not so small The only rules I have are 1. they must be true confessions 2. they can't be something that would be slanderous, mean spirited or illegal. 3. they should not be used against the person confessing.

    So here goes mine:

A couple of weeks ago, I was in an awful mood and needed a "pick me up". So I went to the mall and purchased a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood booties that I totally didn't need but desperately wanted. I was gitty as I gave the salesman my credit card to swipe but I knew that I could not afford them and was going to return them the next day. I tried them on in my closet, looked at myself in the mirror, then boxed them back up and returned them. I felt a little guilty doing it but it felt great at the time.

Speaking from personal experience, I've done the exact same thing... and I'm sure many of us have made purchases on an impulse before. I have put things on my credit cards in the past, then returned them because I knew that I just couldn't afford them. That's why I only use them for emergencies now (excluding fashion emergencies... LOL). It's hard when you're out shopping and you see something you want REALLY badly, and it's easy to get caught up in the moment of buying something because it always feels great to get something new. I don't think you should feel guilty at all. If anything, be proud of yourself for having the willpower to return them, and hopefully when you get the extra cash, you can get something to treat yourself

I have a confesion: I want to splurge on a Chanel Classic Flap. I've wanted one for as long as I can remember. I've been thinking about it a lot recently because I've been able to bank money since my new job - a 48 hour week is a slow one for me lol. IDK... it's all going to depend on whether or not I start school in Janurary

^ It's going to depend on if they're closing the nursing program I applied to that I mentioned in a previous thread. There are other bags I want, but then I feel like I could just put the money towards what I REALLY want

I lied to someone (not a serious/detrimental lie , but more of like a white lie ) I did it in fear of their feelings --

it has ended up haunting me for a few days and I cannot live with the guilt anymore , I have to clear up the situation soon ---

My BF and I gave up smoking just over 1 year ago, and last night while I was out with my friends I caved and smoked 3 cigarettes. I feel guilty because I haven't told my BF, but above all I feel really, really, really stupid, that after so long I decided to have, not just 1 but 3 cigarettes. I just feel like a right royal idiot and am extremely disappointed in myself, because there is no chance that I am going to become a smoker again.

I'm glad to see i'm not the only one with things that weigh me down.

Thank you ladies for being brave and expressing yourselves. Hope you felt better after doing it.

    Here is mine for today:

I totally lied to my mom about our plans for Christmas...well sorta said we had plans when we really don't. dBf and I want to go to Miami for Christmas but we totally don't have the money. We told all of our family we were going and that we wouldn't see them for Christmas. Well...now it looks like we won't be going, but I've not told any of my family. Truth is...i don't want to have to be with a huge family...all the noise..and the chaos. Thanksgiving was too much already! Not that I dont' like my family but some members (by marriage) can get to be too much and I can't stand to be in the room with them. So...I'd rather lie and say we can't make it. I feel bad but what else can I do.

Okay, I think I'm hormonal, or something because I have a crush on a guy at work and I'm married and so is he. Now, I truly love my husband, but I am enjoying the flirting and attention from this man. It isn't anything major, but I'm weirded out by the fact that I'm 40 and experiencing something like this. By the way, I have absolutely no intentions of doing anything else, and I pretty much think it's all one-sided. I keep hoping it passes with time. I really don't think I'm experiencing the, in my case, the 17 year itch. lol

Its fun to flirt. I have someone at work that is flirty with me...but like you, it's totally innocent. Just have fun with it.

    Today's confession:

You know how you see yourself doing something stupid and you know you shouldn't but you do it anyways? I intentionally ruined my weekend. Totally a horrible morning after fighting with the bf all weekend. I knew I shouldn't have picked the fight and I knew what my comment would lead to..but I said it anyways and he reacted exactly how I thought he would.

Why would I do this to myself?

I guess this isn't really a confession but more of a "how I feel":

I don't really want to get another job. In reality, I don't really have to get one in order to pay any bills or anything, because the BFs job covers all of our expenses, with money left over. I like bags and shoes and all of that fun stuff, so if/when I get another job, it would just be to buy stuff that I want. The BF even told me that when/if I get a job, anything I make is extra, and I can do whatever I want with it. I guess I'm just not motivated enough to actually want to work.
