Almost like he shouldn't be on the medication, not because I don't want him to get better, but its almost like he was never the type to need something like that. I do feel bad for him and thought about reaching out to him, but its been over 5 years since I talked with him and we didn't part on the best of terms. He ended up getting married and had a baby recently. Not sure it would be a good thing for me to suddenly appear in his life given his depression. But at the same time too..and i know this is really bad...I want him to know that I'm totally over him and I moved on long ago. He should be strong and not regret his decisions in his life including our relationship Of course there is his new wife too...I don't want to make her mad and feel like I'm trying to get back into his life. But it still leaves me wondering...why do I care and why is it bothering me?

Maybe you care because you had a history with him and knew him as a person. With that said....I think you should NOT contact him and just stay away. No need to make this more complicating.

    Good Advice GUY.

I agree. Just wish him the best in your heart and don't get involved any further, especially since he has a wife and child.

I have a confession, but it is actually sort of a funny one.
I remember a long time ago, when people still used film in cameras and had no clue what the pictures looked like until after you had them developed, I had taken an envelope of pictures to work to show people pictures of Mr BRS and my doggie. A co-worker of mine was looking through the pictures and I was sort of glancing over her shoulder. Then she got to a picture of my dog lying on her back on the floor, looking cute as she always did and I noticed something funny underneath my co-worker's thumb. Apparently Mr BRS had taken the picture and apparently he didn't have any clothes on! So there was a little sliver of something in the corner of the picture! My co-worker never said anything and I assume she didn't notice. Of course if she would have seen how bright red my face probably was at that moment, she may have been clued in... I don't know. So I just kept my mouth shut and didn't make a peep. To this day, I am hoping that she was totally clueless about it!

LOL! Well I'm glad someone got a kick out of it. I was actually quite embarrassed about it at the time. I just acted like everything was fine and hoped she didn't notice. Believe me, Mr BRS got a talking to afterward. Jeez... of all the dumb things that boys do.

Its been a little while since there has been any action...so here we go.

My confession...I've been in the process of trying to get my debt under control and not spend any more. I've got a lovely boyfriend who offers me advice and tells me what I should/shouldn't be doing, even going so far as to help me transfer my outstanding credit card balance to a no interest card for 12 months. Well...rather than stop spending and pay off my debt...I've been in the process of racking up more debt on my card...over $1000 dollars more. <sigh> I totally haven't told him how much more I have added and I'm rather ashamed of myself.

Am I the only one here, or is it just to darn tempting to use these credit cards?!

I know what you mean stella! $1000 isn't as bad as it was, so hopefully you can get it down quickly and not use it. I'm still trying to get mine down... I haven't even been using it, but the stupid finance charges are so high!

Cheer Up Stella. Everyone goes through temptations and yields to them sometime
Make sure not to take your credit card with you when you go out to the mall or other place.
Carrying little cash for your needs will probably help. Writing down what you earn and what you spend (every penny) will help you control such temptations.

I thankfully don't have any debt and have never had any. Growing up our household finances were really tight. My parents spent all their money on our education and we pretty much had nothing else. I can remember my mom telling me when i was just 5-6 years old, if you earn a dollar, save 50 cents from it. Never forgotten it. Today even though i can pretty much buy anything i want anytime, a lifetime of being conservative prevents me from doing that. Before any big splurge i always think, is that a want or a need? Is there something else on which the money would be better spent? Is this something i will cherish for a long time or is it a passing fad? That helps me control the urges
