Default pondering a quick solo road trip

I love my bags and makeup and gettting all dressed up , BUT I also have a side of me that loves sports and dude like things . My baseball team is going to be in a town about 300 miles from me and the ballpark that they will be playing at LOOKS LOVELY. I also can get a reasonable ticket in a REALLY GOOD area close to the field. There is a hotel two blocks from the ballpark that is fairly upscale with not such a big price tag and it is rumored that the ball players will be staying there (autographs and pictures !!! ) My car is not a piece of crap , but not the best either.
I kinda want to say DO IT and GO !!
My family said they would be cool with me , but I dunno about making a road trip that far by myself .
What do you ladies (and dude ) possibly think ?
There is an outlet mall about 3/4 of the way there too that I could stop at !!

That's like a 5 hour drive...I say if you really want to go and you'd have an awesome experience at the game, then do it! It would be nice if someone could go with you though, to keep you company and in case you get tired of driving.
    Now on a BAN!

How awesome! I would say go for it.. it sounds like you'll have alot of fun

About the drive.. I'm sure that would be the only boring part of the trip. I guess it depends on if you're useto driving long distances. Could you maybe fly?

Go for it!! solo road trips are the best time for some introspection and thinking...
thinking can always be about what you want to buy at the outlet

Are you going to be driving through mostly deserted areas (like farmlands, etc.)? If so, it might be a good idea to bring some one with you. At the very least, make sure you have some safety items with you. Cell phone with coverage where you will be driving, something to defend yourself with, a car safety kit (usually comes with car blanket, jumper cables, sparklers, flashlight, etc.), etc.

I know I sound a little paranoid about it- but for good reason. I had someone sabotage my car not long ago. It was at night in a parking lot. Fortunately my boyfriend was with me and nothing happened to either one of us. But I shudder to think what could have happened had I been alone.

It is so unfortunate that women need to be so cautious today when traveling alone or even just doing normal things. I don't think it is a bad idea to travel alone- but you need to be very careful.

I hope I didn't scare you out of taking the trip, I just want you to be safe.

A road trip sounds great! I would definitely go!

However, after watching the movie Taken... I'm a little paranoid about going places by myself...

But then again I'm sure you'll be fine. If you really want to go then go! I'll bet you'd have a lot of fun.

    not gonna happen ---
I checked for the tickets I wanted yesterday and they were gone and no more hotel rooms at the hotel I wanted to stay at. ALSO , the weather channel said that the southern Indiana, southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky area was expecting bad storms and very hot and humid weather !!
I am a bit bummed about it , but I had a really interesting adventure today (shopping and playing poker in NW Indiana) and I might visit my baseball team at another somewhat close city such as Detroit , Minneapolis, or Kansas City !! thanks for the advice , cheers, suggestions etc. etc.
