Default there is a MOUSE in my apartment!

and I have NO IDEA what to do.

I thought moving to a nice new building in Boston would let me leave all the mice behind in Baltimore, but apparently not...

I think it's gone for now, but ugh...I hate the idea of it crawling around on my stuff and nibbling at my food...eww!

who else here has had to deal with mice before?

I just have teeny tiny kitchen ants, never had a rodent problem. Put out some traps and bait to see if that works. i've seen the old fashioned traps at the dollar store even, so you can find some cheap ones. If that doesn't work, you might have to call in a pro....or rather your landlord should??

We have the same problem here but then our building is more than 130 years old. One of the hazards of living in a city designated as UNESCO heritage city. We basically tried to find any access holes and block it. Tried using the old bait and trap but the d*** mice either don't eat cheese or knew it was a trap. So at the moment, blocking the holes and keeping our flat clean and free from any food crumbs seem to help. We'll see as the summer goes on...Sorry I'm not much help

OMG, so sorry! If I were you I'd set up the traps where you don't have to actually touch the mouse or see it.

Atleast you don't have something crawling on your roof at night!! Now that was freaky!!

What would be crawling on the roof at night?

A mouse?! Awwwww, they're so freaking cute!!!!
I would suggest using a live trap. No need to kill the poor, sweet, innocent little mousie. Plus you wouldn't have to touch a dead mouse in a trap when you went to throw it away.

I agree with bRs. I too would suggest using a live trap, other than the reasons metioned above, there's also the fact that if you poisoned it, a cat or something could eat the corpse and get killed itself.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I got some snap traps and set them up, baiting with peanut butter. I haven't seen him at all since Friday, and the maintenance guy came yesterday and said he couldn't find any holes behind the stove, so....maybe he is gone for good? I am crossing my fingers and hoping!
