Default all the bags he could have bought!

okay so in my college writing english class my teaher wants us to read this book"into the wild" and watch the movie in class. then write an essay and you know what

    I JUST CAN"T read it!
its like a train wreck. HE BURNED ALL HIS MONEY!! AHHHH ... I was like oh my god NO , all the fendi's he could have bought. starving children.$50,00 dollars. I JUST CAN"T STAND IT!

I seriously resent this book, his parents wanted to buy him a new car and he threw a bitch fit. he was like ALL THESE THINGS , why do you want things. MATERIAL POSSION ITS EVIL. and then he decides to go live in the woods!

if material possesion is bad then I must be the devil.

Does anyone else here feel the same way? All those handbags. oh my god. thats what Iam thinking.

Yeah, I feel that way. Evidently I'm "shallow" or so I've been told by a few ex's.

I mean really, if he didn't want the money, why didn't he donate it to a worth while cause? Stupid.

I don't think that guy was truly happy until he was starving and freezing to death... and then he died. I don't think it was stupid of him to want to experience life for the simple beauty it can hold. But, yeah, donate all your stuff to a worthy charity. Burning the money just helps put more CO2 into the atmosphere.

I don't think he was stupid for wanting to experience the simple beauty of life & nature but I do think he was stupid for not donating the money. Just wanted to clarify that.

I saw a decorative plaque in target the other day. It read:
"People who say money can't buy happiness, don't know where to shop!"

You know what? I reckon you could write an excellent essay about this book. Just got to grit your teeth and read it first. Then write what you think.
