It seems to be a trend at the moment for handbags to look like brief cases. A lot of designers are getting in on the trend and I'm liking it. I've never been one for trends but this trend is a bit of a mystery to me. I love the whole idea of a bag looking like a hidden purse. Kind of make people think you are on your way to work only to find out that it's your bag.
The Westward Collection from Kate Spade New York "Wanderlust" Satchel is a gorgeous example of a briefcase turned purse. It doesn't look like it would be a handbag and I loved it. If I saw someone down the street carrying this bag I would instantly think books or a lap top was it not a wallet, makeup and other goodies.
The best part about the "Wanderlust" is that it's so classy looking. I could see a lot of business women in NYC purchasing this bag. It's sophisticated looking enough to be paired up with a suit or even dress it down with a pair of skinny jeans and a blazer.
