Default Slide and a Pendants

I need a pendant for my Omega necklace, I'm told it needs to be a "Slide"
What is the difference?

A slide doesn't have a bale on top of it... instead there are loops of metal on the backside that the omega chain would slide though.
See how these David Yurman pendants have a bale on top so that the pendant itself hangs down from the chain?

And here's a picture of a slide on an omega chain. See how it isn't suspended from the chain... but more like its wrapped around it?

Usually, traditional pendants are designed with a bale to fit most size chains.
Slides are usually made with a wider opening to fit "omega" and larger "flat" chains. It's basically just semantics. I think Larimar jewelry will help you, pendants at laurabonetti.com Larimar Museum quality, Blue Pectolite Larimar from the Caribbean
