    Default Alexander McQueen Skull and Starfish Cocktail Ring


    This time a year, sea creature motifs are certainly not uncommon. My guess is that this is what Alexander McQueen was going for with this particular piece. This oversized silver tone ring features the typical crystal encrusted skull. Clinging to each side is a crystal encrusted starfish. The starfish are not arranged as mirror images of one another, they resemble more how they would naturally look if crawling over a skull at the bottom of the ocean. This certainly is a unique piece. It would be a great way to partake in the whole sea creature motif thing without the bright colors.

    I think it looks cool. Would love to see a modeling picture though. It just looks so clunky.

    It's neat. I'm not sure how big it is exactly, but I imagine it's pretty big since the other ones are.

    I saw this ring the other day and to me the starfish resembled two hands on each side of the skull. It looks to me as if the skull is stressed out. lol
