Okay, I found a picture of a Datejust on AFF's closeout site.

It looks to me like the length of the second hand is correct.

Like I said, I wasn't 100% on the hand-thing. I have 2 Rolex's (purchased from Authorized Dealers) and the second hands reach the ticks on both. And the date window is all wrong for the reasons stated previously, it doesn't fill the bubble, alignment, etc.

This isn't a bad site to get started, but like most of you know, counterfeits can be very good. On the very best fakes, the only way to tell is to open up the watch and inspect the movement. Some fakes are obvious from the looks alone.

^^^ Thanks! I think that website is very helpful. And I know what you mean about there being super good fakes out there. I've heard of fake LVs that were so convincing that people at LV had to disassemble the bag and count all the stitches just to determine it is a fake. Scary, really.

Is the bubble in the one pictured here correct? Should the date be in the center of the bubble?

^^^ It may just be the angle in which the photo was taken. This picture is from AFF, which is a pretty reputable site.

It probably is the angle the photo was taken. I have a Datejust, and depending on how you're looking at it, the date moves inside the bubble.

    2. The date magnification bubble is "lopsided" (does not line up with the edges of the date wheel).

    3. The date wheel is not properly aligned within the window which it would be when the time is set at 9:00 and the crown is fully screwed down. The number would be centered.

    4. The minute hand and the second hands are typically not the same length on a Rolex watch. I'm not sure about that on this model, however, so that may be correct. However, the second hand should always touch the "ticks," which it does not.

    5. The date magnification power is incorrect.

    1) Piece is sapphire
    2) That is just the photo angle
    3) as above
    4) what part of you body is talking here?

Not very nice to call someone a fool here Archie.
I could have called you a fool many times following some of your posts but I being the bigger person did not. Maybe you should learn how to be a bigger man.

I have been in the vintage watch business for 10+ years....... I KNOW FOR CERTAIN THIS PIECE IS 100% GENUINE!

It is a model 69173 - Ladies 2 tone Datejust Rolex.
I am 100% sure it is all genuine.

I know my LUXURY GOODS! I KNOW WHAT IS REAL AND WHAT IS FAKE!!!!

What do you want to see? Movement scans? Case lug scans.....

I BET US$100,000- THIS PIECE IS GENUINE!

I DO NOT BUY FAKES.... ESPECIALLY FOR MY WIFE.
