Default Greetings from a bag newbie!

Hiya!

I've lurked here for awhile though finally broke down and registered.

I'm a college grad student and I am considering what to buy for my first "real" bag. I keep telling myself, "no, you don't need a fancy purse, its a waste of money and everyone will think you're nuts!" but its been more than a year and I still want one, lol. My current bags are (are you ready to laugh?) a blue Eastpack messenger bag, a bright colorblock hello kitty bag, and a vintage black camcorder bag. Oh, and some fancy black messenger bag by some lesser-known maker. Impressive, no? But I am a grown-up now and would like to own a refined, high quality bag that will last for years to come. So here I am poking around the bag forum! I have my eye on LV. A couple of years ago I even bought a "monogram kitty" hello kitty plush phone/bag charm, it is just the cutest thing. Obviously not LV but definitely done LV style! Coach is also tempting me, especially since there's a Coach store at the mall. I live in the SF Bay Area so there's probably a place to buy LV and all kinds of stuff around here too in the city.

Thanks for reading my little rambling there, and pleased to make your aquaintance!

If you're not ready for a huge investment, then I would suggest picking up a Coach bag. They are less expensive but still pretty good quality. If you like it how it feels, then you'll know that bags are something for you. Then you can graduate to something even better, like an LV! That would definitely be something that would last you a lifetime.
