Default hi everyone

What a nice forum. Love reading all the old posts and learning soo much.

I'm about to venture to San Francisco this weekend will be considering getting my first LV. I'll probably stop by both the Union Square and Santa Clara store though I feel real scared going in...do I have to dress for it ya think. I'm used to dressing real casual and no designer nothing and those folks behind the counter seem pretty good at spotting the tourist just browsing.

That said, its funny how my interest in LV started after I got tired of all the new styles in most of the department stores. There was a time when I actually knew someone who worked in a LV store and she took me to her store but I was totally unwilling to spend hundreds on a designer bag and just didn't get it when I looked at the canvas lines because they weren't leather. Now, that's exactly what I'm looking to buy, lol.

Hi, about dressing for the LV store. I wore a ratty track suit when I went. Like I care what the sales clerk thinks. He was happy to sell me my Manhattan all the same. LOL.

Yay, 1 more day and San Francisco here I come :D - but just found out the Bay Bridge is in repairs and closed. Yay, San Jose here I come ??.... (I'm driving from Reno where I live)

BTW, I was admiring everyone's purses here and was wondering how do you insert an image onto the message instead of just the link. I thought 3 posts and I could do it, or was it more? or I just don't get it.

I was looking at my own collection and wanted (eventually) to take pictures for uploading. My preferences are off the beaten track as far as my purses were concerned - and I usually buy purses based on how the leather feels rather than style. These days, I like lightweight, simple older designs that can take a beating and still look fairly decent. I don't like excessive hardware that looks bad when tarnished. My old favorites used to be Ghurka before they started getting "fashionable"??? like everyone else and I've always wanted an HCL satchel but never got around to it before the company disappeared. (I'd probably get one even if its been re-lined if its genuine but that's hard to tell) I also like the old horsebit Gucci's without the GG logo pattern.

Andromeda Rose, watermarking is done by typing text onto your file via an imaging software program, the same kind of program that allows you to crop, lighten, etc. I use software that came with my scanner, but you could probably find a free program to download somewhere (such as at tucows).

As far as I know, it's nothing you do to a message itself.

And that said, I rarely watermark my photos myself. Too lazy. I don't care if someone lifts them for nefarious purposes.

hey andromeda - Magnolia is correct. there are some free watermarking programs out there. im too lazy to bother with using real watermarking tool. I just write over them in photoshop.

ps Have fun in San Jose!!
