Hi everyone!

I love handbags & am going to be purchasing my first (yes first - don't laugh!) designer handbag in a couple of weeks. I'm sure it will be the beginning of a long & meaningful addiction.

I've always loved handbags & have always bought good ones, but I decided it's finally time to do something about my longing for a designer one!

Looking forward to starting my collection with you! :D

Hi Jennifer - thanks for the welcome! :) I've picked out the LV Alma (monogram). I'm pretty sure this is what I want, however I've only seen pics of it, so I'm anxious to see it in real life! I'm going in just under 2 weeks to get it!

Oh sweet! That's a great choice and will last you years. I have the monogram alma... here are a couple pics....

I like the alma because its structured and a good size. Although the only thing I do not like about it is the leather trim that wraps around the bottom - the blue dye in my denims rub on it. not that noticeable but still a bummer.

Love your Alma!

I just can't WAIT to get mine! There are so many I like, from many different designers, so it was hard to choose, but since this will be my first (and I have no idea when I'll be able to get another), I want one that is classic & would work well with many different styles of clothes so I think the Alma will be perfect! I was originally thinking of the Speedy 25 or 30, but I've read that it can get a bit saggy, & I do prefer the structured look of Alma.

Thanks for your note about the leather trim & your denim. I'll keep that in mind. Too bad about yours though - it doesn't come off?
