Default LV Denim Sac Plat Dilema!

Hello new friends! I have a situation that has left me stumped! I purchased a Louis Vuitton denim Sac Plat on eBay the other day and I was postive it was real until I saw that the LV was cut on the seam on the back of the bag. I have attached pics, and this bag and its markings seen spot on authentic to me. I just cant get over the cut LV. Does anyone have any opinion on this bag as to its authenticity? Appreciate all replies7..JPG9..JPG5..JPG8..JPG4..JPG2..JPG1..JPG3..JPG6..JPG

    ^^^ You're so funny Guy!

I know that the denim stuff doesn't always follow "the rules". I see what you're talking about. I looked at some other ones and the LVs aren't cut off like that on the back. Everything else about the bag looks good though.

The thing that is throwing me off is the date code. It's very defined into the leather and the others ones I've seen look more subtle and also start with AS. Now that may not mean a thing, but it also looks like the stitching is different or that it's in a different spot than the others. I can't tell because the others ones I've seen, the picture is super close up onto the date code so it's hard to tell what angle they're taking the picture.

I don't always count out bags for the LVs being cut off or misaligned because not every bag is perfect, but the date code seems to never lie.

This is from a Neo Speedy. The date code is oriented in the same manner and the impression is still deep. It starts with SP. Do you think all Sac Plat bags start with AS? And all Neo Speedies start with SP?

I mean it's possible they have different letter codes for the same bag. I was just thinking since it's a seasonal bag maybe they made them but in only one factory? Since the only ones I could find were AS and that there weren't that many to look at, I guess I can't say for sure either way. I guess I just don't like the way the letters look in the fabric. They look like a different font maybe? Or maybe it's just because they're more prominent?

EDIT: Just looked at a boat load of Neo Speedies, they all start with SP. So you're probably right lils. The Sac Plat is probably supposed to have AS.

Yep, geniuses like Guy don't need to say anything. They just sit back and let everyone else hypothesize about everything.

I looked into the date code and the VI0025 indicates that the bag was made in France in 2005. I thought it seemed correct since the seller told me she purchased the bag about 2005 for $$1150 in Sochi, Russia. I thought that the first two letters just indicated the country of origin, where the bag was manufactured. I didn't think it corresponded with the Model of the bag. Any thoughts?
