Default New member and a newly found love of old Coaches

I picked up an older Coach, (1970's era) at a thrift shop and realized that any bag that old that still looked that great, must be a "must have". I've also started learning how to rehab and recondition old bags and that just made the mad hunt for older bags even more intense. The new ones are beautiful too, but I don't think I can afford to buy new. And the ones I've seen aren't quite as nice of a leather as the oldies, but still, I wouldn't turn down any coach that was handed to me So glad to have found this site and learn from others who have more experience authenticating, etc.

    Enjoy!
The leather on the old coach bags is definitely gorgeous and the styles are very traditional.
You shoudl eb able to score some at garage sales. Just be sure you know what to look for.
Would love to see pics of some of your bag(s).

Love classic Coaches...no logos, just exceptional leather and craftsmanship that will last forever.

After many months of looking, I'm learning that I need to have a phone with internet access on me at thrift stores, etc. to look up creed #'s from inside of bags to even be sure of getting an authentic coach. I've been fooled by even some seemingly "vintage" bags. !! Once I think its authentic, then I just go for the ones I love the look of, or think I could clean and fix up.

Welcome to TBF ! There are some vintage Coaches that are really cute. I still love a few of the denim ones.

These are my favorite vintage bags too! Love the leather! Heavy, quality leather is really my big weakness!
