Oh no! Not Halloween already! LOL! I don't want the summer to be over! NOOOOOOOOO!
I don't think we'll be doing anything for Halloween. With my luck, I'll probably have to work. Nobody does anything around here anyway. Like nobody has parties or anything.
This is my costume, already bought it! Now I just need accessories, like a little underskirt to make it fuller on the bottom, some hot boots, and a sword. I'm obsessed with pirates.

I absolutely love Halloween, and can't wait! I have a rule that the kids have to dress as either something funny or scary. My girls are very into wearing their fancy dress costumes and always like to play princess, so I think it's good for them to be taken out of their normal comfort zone for one night. They all have a good time deciding what they want to be and I try very hard not to let them just buy a pre-made costumes off the shelf. We also hand out Halloween cookies to each house that we trick or treat at. This year they want to throw a party and invite their friends, and I am so psyched! So much fun! Sorry for such a long post, I guess I got carried away!
Great thread Z I do love this holiday When I was in med school, there was a friend who threw the best Halloween bash every year. Everyone would be there and I still remember all the costumes that I wore to her do.

Back home, no one celebrates it so last year was the first time DS experienced Halloween. He totally enjoyed it, went as a handyman to his nursery party (he was obsessed with the cartoon Handy Manny).
This year probably a clown, we'll see.
Hmmm now I'm thinking of spicy pumpkin soup topped with creme fraiche eaten on a cold evening....

My kids are suddenly into Halloween this year. I already got their costumes, although i have not shown it to them yet. they will insist on wearing it right away!!. One is Spiderman (of course..LOL) and the other one is a Wizard from Hogwarts!!
I normally decorate the yard, but i think i may go a bit further this year. We generally have over 150 trick or treaters

I'm thinking of having my costume hemmed. It's a colonial bar maid costume I bought two years ago and never got to wear because I didn't get it fixed in time for last year's Halloween. The costume I liked the most so far was my Jack Skellington- the mask was suffocating though . The best couples costume I ever saw at a party was "American Gothic." My friend's brother and his GF carried around a big frame and pitchfork the whole time. The couple was really cute together.

I love the "American Gothic" idea, that's really good.
Another funny one I've heard of is someone dressing up in a sexy cat costume with black leggings and everything with sign around her neck asking for free booze in LOLCAT language.
