Thumbs up

Hi, just got back from the sale! I left my apartment this morning at 7:30 and got down there at 8:50. There were 7 people ahead of me on line, including an elderly woman who'd been there since 5:00 am! We all waited until they opened at 10:00 and then, the fun began.

They only let 20 people in at a time. We were shown into an elevator that took us upstairs to the room. They made us check our bags; we were only allowed to have wallets and cell phones on the floor. I wanted to take pictures for my blog but, they said no. They gave everyone a large white shopping bag and said it was to be our "shopping cart." So, anyway, here's what they had: shoes, boots, handbags (all of which were ugly), small leather goods, men's and women's clothing, and, of course, scarves. I was going to get a scarf but, I only wear small ones, tied around the neck. These were bigger, almost shawl size. I picked up a leather-encased pocket mirror and thought about getting that. Then I saw the clothing and finally decided on a skirt. It's a simple, blue wool slim skirt that will never go out of style. I always try to get something practical when buying desinger, so I can make sure I get my money's worth.

It really wasn't that crowded at all, probably because the day is so crappy (I got caught in the rain on my way to the subway.) I could have waited and gone later.
But, I'm glad I got to go. Thanks, again, Jennifer!:D

Camera phone?! I'm such a techno-phobe! I can take pics with my phone but don't know what to do after that.

The bags were all dark and dreary canvas things. Ugh!
