Hi Ladies,

The Birkin has been growing on me since January and I finally decided to get one.

When I walked into the store I spent hours deciding what color I should get. I decided that I don't have any (literally) black bags, so I'll take the black with gold hardware one. The size was obvious to me. A 35 would be great and then the SA showed me Birkin 40. Now I'm stuck. I don't know which size should I get. I tried walking around the boutique with them both but for me it's not the same as carrying it everyday. Which one would you recommend?

First thing, CONGRATULATIONS! Now as far as the color I think you decided on a GREAT color combo. Black with Gold HW is so classic and you will be able to carry it with anything! After all, with the cost of a Birkin, you want to get lots and lots of use!

Which size did you feel most comfortable with the 35 or the 40? Were you able to get all of the the items that you carry everyday comfortably in the 35? We aren't carrying the bag so only you will know what works best for you.

I felt great in both of them! That's the problem ;p
I'm just wondering that if I load the 40 with stuff won't it become too heavy. :)

That is something to consider.

Since you went in wanting the 35 that might be the one!

Both are wonderful sizes, 40 would be amazing but yes it would get heavy especially if its Togo or Clemence. Good luck with whatever you decide to get, look forward to your reveal pics!
