Hi, I was just wondering if you place yourself on the waitlist for the birkin bag and after 5 yrs you decide not to get it, is it okay? Or do you really have to buy it?

If you decide not to get it, just tell them you no longer want to be on the wait list... there is no obligation.
No worries, they'll offer it to the next person on the list. That person will probably bless you for not taking it

Reason: Grammar
So exactly which countries have the waitlist then?
Mainly Asian markets. The demand is so high there.
Often there is no waiting but they say there is a list.
They have bags in the back for frequent customers. Ask for one and they tell you there is a list, then they bring them out for VIP's.
