Hi,
Can someone authentisize this yellow ostrich hermes birkin for me the auction ends tomorrow so i could greatly use everyone opinion asap. I joined this network becuase i was told that this forum is very honest and trustworthy. But i cant copy and past the pic to this thread?! The bag is on ebay under the username of treasuretrunk. Can someone help me please:)

i have to say.. IN MY OPINION i can not 100% assure you but it does not seem authentic as some of the croc birkins ive seen at the actual H Boutique the Hermes Paris Made In France is actually EMBOSSED in the crocodile skin if you look at the close up of that part in the pictures that were provided it just seems as if it was painted over the scaling and the gloss that a matte croc should develop doesnt look exactly the same as this the gloss it should develop just seems a bit off you should definitely try taking it to a boutique and asking them for more professional advice about it.

I think a lot of the time, people buy Birkin's, or Kelly's, and try to pass them off as real. On eBay, people sell fake ones all the time, and it's so hard to find someone who has enough knowledge to help you out, because they're very expensive, and not that many people can afford to buy them.

A croc Birkin, probably at minimum, would be $30k, so if you spent $10k on one, it's probably not real, even though that's A LOT of money.

An ostrich Birkin, at minimum would be around $15k, depending on color, shape, etc., so if you're spending $7k on one, it's probably not real either.

The best thing to do is to NOT buy on eBay. If you're looking for a "pre-loved" bag, go to an online consignment store that is authentic, like Malleries, let-trade, or fashionphile.

Whomever is selling you these items as authentic Hermes is mistaken.
