    Blush Hypothetically speaking...

Would it be wrong if someone were to spend a large sum of money over a short period of time, on bags and "high end" accessories, being they can afford it and all? Would that be considered "strange" if they simply wanted to get accessories to match their handbags? (Which sometimes the accessories can cost almost as much as the handbag!)

If so, what would be the difference between that and purchasing, let's say, a Hermes for $10,000 in one shot?

I'm just wondering what your opinions would be on something like this.

It's in the right section, unless you wanted it to be ABOUT Hermes.

Well, I would never spend $10,000 on ONE bag when I could buy sooo many for that price. But hey, if someone can afford it and it makes them happy - I don't mind!

I don't see a problem with it...but I agree with JessLR...I am not going spend 10,000 on one bag when I could get so many other bags with that money!!! When we're talking 10,000 for one bag...it is NOT THAT DEEP for me personally.

If you have an extra $10,000, that you didn't need, and that you weren't going to need, then I think you can do whatever you want with it. If buying a Birkin will make you happy, then go for it. Just make sure that you're buying it for the right reason and that it is feasible for you to do so.

if you had the money to spend and you want to spend it, there shouldn't be a problem... I wouldn't personally buy a 10,000 bag simply cos I couldn't afford it and I'd rather get more bags than just one... but if it makes you happy no problems at all

I agree with everyone. If you can afford to, then I don't think there's anything wrong with spending $10,000 on a bag if it makes you happy. I can't afford to and personally would like to get more than one thing with the $10,000. If I had gazillions, then maybe it's a different story.

If you can afford, I take it no issue with either purchase.
Heck, if you can't really afford it and you're choosing handbags over nice food and are existing on canned tuna & ramen, I don't even think that's wrong. Just not a very healthy choice.
Providing its not a habit funded by cocaine trafficking or fraud or you have kids and they're sacrificing for a bag habit, I see nothing wrong with choosing to buy high-end things.
