That girl that works at TCBY, might be buying "replica's". I mean c'mon, that's insane. I know for a fact they don't make that much or everybody would be working there. I just save. Like I'm saving for a new car right now so my bag buying days are over for a little while....

I had a savings account before I was born. Once upon a time, I had a nice inheritance before I got in a big fight with my father and walked away with from it (the best decision I've ever made). I model jewelry for local designer, which isn't much but it is something. I recently graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in entrepreneurship, and I'm 30 something hours away from having my real estate license.

The thing is, I rarely have time to go shopping, and when I do there isn't much worth buying in the suburbs, so I go to Dallas (the largest city near me) and I go binge shopping about three times a year. Now, I'm moving to Dallas in June, so it will be a whole different story.
If love is the answer, what is the question?

I'm a 39 year old school teacher and hubby and I just bought a house, or should I say just acquired a mortgage? lol Every bag I have I pretty much bought for myself either online through ebay, or directly from Dooney or at a department store on sale. I usually just scrimp and save, and buy it for a particular occasion, Christmas, birthday, anniversary, etc. Plus, I teach summer school for six weeks each summer and that helps out and hubby does get overtime here and there, so when you're able to have all your bills paid it frees up a little extra income for the things you want but don't need, like purses.

Hubby understands my purse addiction, and while he may complain at times, I am level-headed enough to know that I can't just go out and buy one whenever I want it. Food, utilities, etc. have to come first, although at times when I see a bag I really want I have to ask myself is electricity really necessary? lol I've also contemplated putting my twelve year old son out front with a lemonade stand, but its Texas and the heat is unbearable, so I thought that might be a tad cruel.

While I am in no hurry to turn 40, I am anxious for birthday to get here in September so I can justify buying myself a new Dooney. I emailed my son a picture of the one I want so he can be sure to let hubby know, but I will probably be told just to order it myself, which is fine since that way I know I'm getting the exact bag I want. Plus, I'm evil enough that I like to make my sisters jealous. Of course, my youngest sister is a huge Ed Hardy fan, so she probably won't be that jealous of my new Dooney.

I am at times envious of these young girls who can afford bags I would have to save for at least a year to buy, but that's life I guess. We always tend to want what someone else has. The trick is to learn to love what you have and be proud of it!

I am a 15 year old, high school student. My parents are very kind to me, and pay me for my grades. But I also have a part time job, and save my money from christmas, birthdays etc. I also buy most of my bags on sale or pre-loved :)

Its all about sacrifice.. u use to spend biiig $$ on my car.. it was all about saving up, loans and getting good deals..

ive stopped spending money on cars (alothough got a new car comming soon..
    in terms on fashion
i buy 1 or 2 nice pieces a year.. whether that be a jacket, shoes, jewlery... things that last.. and now ive got a nice collection... for instance my watch i bought like 5 years .. ppl still go crazy over it, also got a couple of bracelets and neclaces that ppl always compliment me on..!!

Its about buying quality not quantitiy.. i know ppl that spend the same amount of money on 20 pieces of crap jewlery that i spend on 1 piece.. remember save up your couple of grand and buy a nice bag, or bracelet.. ...

    and its also about priorities..

    1. Car
    2. Phone
    3. New GHD straightneer
    4. Wedding ring lol

I usually sell some of my older bags to get the newer ones. But my husband also pitches in and once in a while for special occasions he'll just buy me a bag. That doesn't happen often but I end up having to hussle to get some of my things.

I recently got 3 bags at Coach Outlet ... and had a 20% off coupon -- got three purses for LESS than the price of the most expensive one I picked out !!! I was out and about over the weekend and got a nice complement on one of my bags !!

If there is an expensive bag that I really HAVE to buy, I have to sell some of my collection to buy them. My hubby always gets a kick when I tell him this one bag used to be 5. lol

I, on average spend about $15,000 a year on handbags because I love Chanel, LV's, Dior, Gucci, Fendi, Prada and some limited edition Coach as well. I purchase them with cash (no charge cards except for the one from my debit card that earns miles) and it is my hard earned money. My husband and I have worked hard together to finish our degree. He got a nice job that pays all the mortgage/bills/car notes etc. and I decided to go and own my own business at the age of 20 while also going to school. 8 years later, I have retired from my multiple business while still gaining a monthly income, we have 2 beautiful boys, and I am still a handbag addict. So be careful when you see a young girl working part time at TCBY or in my case a local donut shop, she might be the owner.
