Weird. I have all of my bags in their dustbags...on the same shelf...by my patent FB bag. I hope that's ok, lol!

Re: keeping patent leather away from other leather?
I believe that in general, color transfer is very common with patent leather, so my guess is that the little disclaimer there exists as a head's up to customers so that if color transfer happens, they can't call it a manufacturer's defect. I know when I owned an LV vernis piece, it had something similar stated in the care card.
Or maybe Kate Spade patent leather is just really snobby and doesn't want to associate with other leathers...Last edited by 2gdfcs; May 15th, 2008 at 12:00 PM.

Re: keeping patent leather away from other leather?
A patent bag can stick to another leather bag if they get smooshed together (like in a dust bag together) and the color from the patent can transfer. I see it a lot with the bags in the clearance bin where I work. All those purses just casually stacked on top of one another.
** WISHLIST **
A list of things both realistic and not...
-- RM Mini Matinee -- 3.1 Phillip Lim Edie Bow Bag -- LV Speedy 25 -- Balenciaga First -- RM Benjamins Pouch -- YSL Y-Mail Zip Wallet --

Thanks for the heads up ladies... I didn't know that this was a problem. I'm going to sort through my bags now.

Also, patent leathers tend to leave white scuffs when rubbed together sometimes.
