stores will not write letters of authentication.

also, i really think that the best thing you can do now is contact your bank

Actually you can get some stores to will do so.

If you contact My Poupette they will be able to help you authenticate your item (I know you already did this at the store) and you will have proof from a trusted eBay friend, which will give you ammo towards the person who sold you your item.

Here's the link to My Poupette's authentication page:

i think my poupette would be a valid reference to your case if you go to your bank. i hope you took a ton of pictures before you sent the bag back.

It does cost a $20 fee to have them check pictures you have of the item, but if they can get you a verification of the item being a replica then I think it's worth it.

I take it in a week ago and have it authenticated. It isn't real. I call her store. No answer. I email her. No response. So today I filed with Paypal and clicked to escalate it because I hadn't heard anything from her. But because I put "counterfeit goods" when Paypal wanted to know what the issue was, Paypal closed the dispute saying that didn't fall under the correct heading for getting your money back. Mind you, I've already sent the bag back to her so I am now out the bag and the money. Help! Where can I go from here?
I've already sent a letter to Paypal about it and will call tomorrow, but I need more ammo. Would it be mail fraud perchance? Anyone?
Omg, I'm so sorry maevey blue.

When you sent it back did you use certified mail, or tracking so the person would have to sign for it?

btw, can I ask who the seller is??

Yeah, do tell who the seller is so we all know not to buy from them. I really do hope you get your money back . I would try everything possible...I hate scammers.

Also, go to the ebay forums...they have a purse forum too. eBay Forums: Shoes, Purses and Fashion Accessories
Alot of the people who post on the boards can help you out with this...they're nice. Just tell them your situation and they'll help.

I was able to get someone at a Store to write a letter for me, I just had to pay 10 dollars. Some stores still do it.

Ok, this is my suggestion. I have gone through something similar by the way. I would send the Seller a Certified Letter stating that she has to send you your refund on whatever day you think is fair, I guess 2 days after she received it but that is being generous, or you would peruse it legally. I would also contact my Bank or Credit Card Company, depending on what source you used to pay, and let them know what's going on as well and get some suggestions from them as to what you can do to get your money back. The Seller Can Not keep the bag and the money. You have proof that it is fake so you can always sue her if she doesn't send you a refund based on fraud because she is selling counterfeit merchandise and you are a victim. She can go to jail for that. In my situation when I sent the letter the Seller refunded me right away because they didn't want any problems. PayPal can be a good thing but when something goes wrong they are terrible. I am so sorry you're going through this and wish you luck.

Are you willing to show us pictures of the bag so that we may see for ourselves what it looks like? If you don't want to for your own protection that's fine, just wondering what you bought :)

Okay, so she refused the package I sent back. This is great for me. As soon as I receive it back, I'm going to send her a certified letter stating that if I don't receive my money back within 48 hours I will not only be filing in small claims court (here in TX - she is in Cali), but I will also be filing a complaint with the IC3. The Internet Crime Complaint Center. (IC3) This organization is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). Apparently the FBI is coming down hard on counterfiet sellers and distributors. I talked with someone there today and he said that it is illegal to sell the bags, but not illegal to buy them. Go figure.
Oh, and then I talked to my friend who is local there and she said that she is suspect about 2 of the bags she was sold. This ticked me off as I bought from this woman on her recommendation.

Paypal says that the only way I have recourse is if I buy through Ebay. That way Ebay has pictures of what the bag looks like when it was purchased. Also, they won't refund for conterfeits. They will only refund if the bag is not received. So if you get sold a bag on Ebay and it's fake, your still out of luck with Paypal.

Oh, and I'll post the pics of this bag tomorrow. I'm not able to downsize them enough to upload them onto the site.

Maevy it sounds like you have a lot of ammo against her and I think you're going to be the one who wins in the end. I think it's really stupid of eBay not to refund for a counterfeit item, which basically seems like they are condoning it. I think you're on the right track with getting your money back and I wish you luck with it!
