    great topic!

IMHO, i don't think your size/height should dictate whether you should be carrying a large or small bag. i mean, i could see someone's point that, proportion-wise, it may not work. but each person's perspective is different.

personally, i think one important factor in choosing the bag size is what works best for the carrier (comfort, practicality, etc. no matter what size it is). also, confidence can play a role-if it's a large bag you're carrying that day and others may feel it LOOKS big on you, who cares? if you FEEL great wearing that big bag that you love and cherish, then you will definitely LOOK great. YOU wear the bag, don't let the bag wear you

I like the idea of small and try to get away with it when I can. But with the kids and all of their crap that has to fit (snacks, water bottles, ballet slippers, barbies, crayons and paper), the bigger the better.

I choose my bag size based on what i need to bring with me, this usually means I carry a big bag because I'm an over packer. >_>

i don't really care what it looks like on me honestly, big or small... I'm 5'4" and sooo heavily pregnant but still use my mini sac HL... IMHO,as long as your comfortable wearing it and doesn't feel awkward on you, then wear it!!!! I love all bag sizes.... big small, medium...LOL!

    I'm about 5'1/5'2, petite-ish average-y build.
I think big totes look good on me but everyone else thinks they're too big?
But I like slouchy sweaters and such, so I think I'm kinda used to having things a bit big on me.

If the bag has a shoulder strap, I think a pochette is fine.
I do not like small clutches though. No. no. no.
Personally, I wouldn't go with a really, tall, long bag. But I would go for a wider bag.

I think all that really matter is how you're comfortable with the bag whether it's small or big.
I'm usually a small bag girl (btw I'm 5'7") but I'm turning towards to more big bags.
Here is just a comparison pix of me with small and big bag (appx 14" wide = about speedy 35 size)
    Please mind my pix. :)

I like both, but use the large ones more often. (About a week ago someone started a thread about this same topic; maybe they could be merged.)

I mostly carry large tote style bags, and I am 5ft. 3". So I don't think it really matters as long as you think your bag looks good!

I like variety in bag sizes. I have small, med, and large. As long as they look good on me, that's all that matters.

I am a small bag kinda gal!

But I can't stand clutches and wristlets, go figure Even though I have quite a few, LOL! I just don't like them for everyday use.

Pochette size is perfect for me, but anything bigger than the size of my black Coach Soho, is just too big. IMO, for me at least.

I like big bags for when I go shopping or somewhere in which I need to carry more than a brush and some lip gloss. For the club or dinner, I carry a small bag that isn't heavy and can go right on my shoulder and not be in the way. Just big enough for my lip gloss, lotion, brush, ID and phone. I have one huge bag that I call my life bag, because my life is in that bag lol. This is my everyday bag. I usually don't spend alot of money on this bag because of the wear and tear. I have soooooo much crap in that bag. I get chest pain carrying it sometimes...ha ha
