Default HELP - LOUIS VS. MARC JACOBS

I am in desperate need of advice! I am getting my mother a handbag for mother's day and I know she loves two - a black Marc Jacobs bag (probably the stam) and the Louis Vuitton Monogram Beverly bag. She wants a bag that can be carried as a tote. I feel like the LV bag is classic and will never go out of style but I love the MJ bag. Which do you recommend? HELP!

    THANKS!

Which Bevery style are you speaking of?

    Beverly GM

    Beverly MM

    or...

    Beverly XXL

Personally, I think the Beverly bags are awsome!

But, then again... the MJ Stam isn't too bad either.

Honestly, I think the MJ is more likely never to go out of style. The black Stam is classy and gorgeous! I know some people (not me! don't hit me!!!) find the monogram bags gaudy/tacky. I do think that the monogram LV is more trendy than the Stam, and when I see someone carrying it I immediately wonder if it's a fake. With the Stam, I think even if people don't know it's Marc Jacobs, they're still going to look at it and see that it's fantastic. I vote for the Stam!

If all else fails go by whether she wears more brown or black, and get the one that will go with more of her outfits.

Although both bags are absolutely gorgeous! I would vote for the LV.... you mentioned your mom was looking for a tote-ish bag.... so... I think she can use the LV in a comfortable way and all...

I ADORE MARC JACOBS and his MJ (and MbyMJ) line. However if you want to get something for your mom that will last forever - I mean stay in style forever then my vote is for LOUIS VUITTON.

I personally like the GM.. the MM is too small and the XXL is too huge

If your mother wants to show people, then definitely the LV because that's what the monogram is for, but it's also extremely classy. Personally, I'd go for the Marc Jacobs because it looks classy, gorgeous, and definitely just outstanding with that black and gold finish :]
