Is it wrong that someone not rich buys expensive handbag?
My friend is fond of bags but she doesn't like cheap one. She perfers spending most of her salary on them. Is it a kind of sickness?

Re: Is it wrong that someone not rich buys expensive handbag?
I don't think so. Providing a person isn't draining their bank account, choosing to neglect any dependants, or carrying it all on credit card, I don't think it's anyone's business what they choose to spend their disposable income. If they want to save for awhile to pay for a bag, versus a vacation, or a sportscar, that's their prerogative.
I'm a Grad student, I work part-time outside of the education system teaching dance lessons, and I'm certainly not raking in the big bucks. If I get a bag, it's from my disposable income or a gift - there are things I go without (manicures & pedicures, a uber-high end cellphone with constant upgrading to the Bigger & Better, I don't drive - but I live in the city so it isn't a necessity) that others wouldn't dream of to get a handbag. But I have no problem or guilt about using my disposable income to pay for bags. My money, my choice.anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination.

I think there's a difference between not rich and cannot afford. Like Caitlin said, as long as you're not spending money that should be getting spent on bills or food then it really isn't anyone's business. If you choose to buy nice handbags instead of a bunch of little things like hair, manicures, and fancy coffees then that's your choice.

It's not bad to have good taste and show it off, but as long as one can afford that good taste and still provide the necessities of life.

I'd rather not to travel but I would like to buy luxury bag in the mall. Such as Louis Vuitton, GUCCI and Chanel, Hermes. So lovely! But sometimes what a pity that I could not buy one bag that I love very much because it is out of my budget...

Do you have a friend who often asks you for borrowing money? But I do, that is who love luxury bags and spend too much on them. I don't like this doing. Also I advised her make a consuming plan, I know it is uselessful. You are right, boysRsmell. it really isn't anyone's business but as a friend, I don't think she is right and these bags are not the things she can afford, out of her budget.

Well if they can afford it, then they can buy anything they want. That's how it works.

No , it's not . Just a way to pursue her dream . But it's necessary to improve her self-control .
