however for a special event a nice brand bag would be more appropriate

I feel very torn about that issue. While it is nice to have high end designers like Gucci and LV, most people do not choose to spend that much on a purse. My most expensive bag was a LongChamp Shoulder bag for about $400. I have worn it for two years and it has stood the test of time. I like bags across all price points. I think instead of branded, you mean designer. Even knockoff bags at Target and Forever 21 are made by a company with a brand name but not a designer.

When I do, I go for vintage @ etsy.com - those groovy 1970s leather link bags and tapestry handbags...

I would definately buy a unbranded bag if it was reasonably priced, good quality and looks good.

No. Last one I bought was a Samsonite bag.

I think unbranded bags are also very good. Because the most important thing is practical.

Abranded bag is a fashion statement that says, "I am sophisticated." Other wise it's not a must

I buy both, branded or unbranded, as long as I like the style and the quality. Style and quality are what I care most about a bag. Sometimes I may even wanna a replica, because I like the style of some brand bags, but I don't wanna spend that much on a bag, while good replica bags are of almost the same quality as the original. That's perfect.

Personally, I prefer simple, light and spacious leather bag of good quality.

-I do not condone counterfeit. I can buy 10 counterfeit bags for the price of one genuine and I still won't feel satisfied. I do buy vintage Chanel.

I have just a few branded bags because I can't afford to buy to many...but if an unbranded bag looks good and it has good quality, I don't see any problem in that.

What is an unbranded bag? Like one that doesn't come from a fashion house?
