Re: Do you buy unbranded bags?
I have to admit that for me it's more about style, so if I come across one that's super stylish then it makes no difference to me who the designer is. I do also have a lot of designer bags as well.

Re: Do you buy unbranded bags?
Yes, I do sometimes, depends the occasion, I'm not such a bag snob, I appreciate all bags, and sometimes I just don't have the money to buy a designer bag....I go to DSW and buy a clutch or Urban expressions, which is all vegan, is doing some really nice clutches for night. I just bought myself some!

Re: Do you buy unbranded bags?
I have just bought my first ever Coach bag, and I really like it. In my opinion, I like to change things up and find it difficult to commit to one brand, or to only buy designer. I don't care so much about quality, because I loose interest in a bag before I can really wear it out. I get bored quickly, and want something different! So I am struggling with this concept. Do I only buy labeled bags from now because I have finally bought my first one, or, do I continue to be more open minded and buy what I like when I like it! Why should I close down the buffet of bags when I don't have to!!! $ is an issue for me also. In my brain I can not justify big bucks on a bag.
Same thing with my engagement ring...lovely diamonds, very pretty.
But again, I like to switch it up.
I have a huge gorgeous mystic topaz solitaire that I will wear on my ring finger with my slim simple band.
I have a ton of rings that I wear on this one finger, they all go with different outfits, etc. Different shapes and sizes of stones.
I like them all and won't commit!!!!!
Because I want it all too!!!
Just my 2 cents!!!
Just enjoy!

The miss seems to enjoy them. Switches between unbranded and designer bags.

Re: Do you buy unbranded bags?
Nope. My rationale is you get what you pay for. All my bags are very well made, and will last me forever if I look after them, which I do.

Re: Do you buy unbranded bags?
Does something like Nest by Anthropologie count as unbranded to you? I do like certain things by Nest. There are also some handbags that don't have an identifiable maker e.g. western style or indian fringe and beaded bags that are cute too.
Hopelessly handbag addicted

Are bags such as Braun Buffel and Carlo Rino considered designers?

Re: Do you buy unbranded bags?
The more I read the responses to these threads, the more I'm wondering what is the definition of unbranded bags. Some of my old Coach bags are strong enough and so well made they could carry mortar shells on a battlefield. And they didn't cost $2,000. So, each bag is a separate entity, branded or not. Craftmanship has no label, I'm thinking. I have lots of unknown bags that don't need to be babied and I think they'll outlive some of my other better known bags.

Re: Do you buy unbranded bags?
yes! i buy a mixture. usually for branded bags, i go for the classic ones. and also probably matches my outfits easily. i'll tend to research quite a lot on the bag and save up for it.
for unbranded bags, i just buy when i see anything pretty and not too costly. as long as it's not too lousy quality, and the design is cute/fun/beautiful, why not? good for rough usage

Re: Do you buy unbranded bags?
No. I only buy branded bags. And the reason is that they never go out of style! The quality is fantastic, and the brand stands behind the workmanship.
2 years ago I received an off-white pebbled leather Coach hobo purse as a gift. I rented a car for a road trip and the dirty passenger seat stained the back of my purse. WhenI called the coach store to see who they would recommend for cleaning the purse, they said that style of bag/leather cannot be cleaned. I freaked out. WHY would they sell an uncleanable bag in OFF WHITE?!?!? When my husband bought the bag, he told them we have a brand new baby and I would carry diapers and wipes in the bag...and the salesperson subsequently upsold him in size. They KNEW I would be carrying baby stuff in it, they KNEW we had a new baby, so OBVIOUSLY it's going to need an occassional cleaning. Why would they sell him the bag in a light color with no warning?
After carrying the bag for SIX MONTHS, they actually let me exchange the bag to black.
A no-name brand company would NEVER do that...

Re: Do you buy unbranded bags?
Not really. I have a couple of evening clutches from Zara, UO, H&M, etc. I take out clubbing - with how I've treated bags at nightclubs after a couple of drinks, there'd be no way I'd take a bag that is a few seasons old and irreplacable, and risk ruining or losing it. It's one thing to take a pricier pochette or clutch to a wedding where people generally act a bit classier, but there's no way I'm risking having a bag ruined by some girl who spills her vodka-cran on it.
At the same token, I won't really buy a bag I actually plan on carrying that's off-branded. It's like drugstore makeup - it's pretty amazing how much high street and chain brands sell their bags for now. Why spend $150 on something not on sale at Zara or Urban, when you can save that and buy one really nice bag from a contemporary line?
Certainly, there are some lines I won't carry - regardless of their 'status', but I'd rather generally have a couple of really nice designer bags, over 10 or 15 rather overpriced ones from like, Nine West.
