Default Back to School Fashion: Designer Backpacks!

What are you carrying your books in this year? Or quarter or semester..

Well over at BB, BrS put together a fabulous selection of backpacks for when you head back to school.

Have any to add to the list?

I know it is a little early to be thinking about school. After all, it seems like summer has just begun. But with all these new designer backpacks floating around out there, I thought I would give this post a go. When I think of designer backpacks though, I typically think of Juicy Couture. However, this most recent outbreak of designer backpacks doesn’t seem to include a single piece from the velour-loving company. But that certainly doesn’t mean that what I found wasn’t just as playful and fun.. . .

I love the Harajuku Lovers backpack. My daughter is really into that right now. They have some really cute accesories at Target right now that would match this bag.

I saw two different Juicy totes that I'm debating for the coming Fall. One is light pink with white stitching saying "Juicy...." and the other is a black nylon material with Juicy in bright pink stones on the side. I also saw this Betsey Johnson, patent leather duffel that would be super cute for classes and a Dooney and Bourke tote that I also love (!!!). And then, ignoring all these, I could just throw it all in for a Neverfull. I'd go for the Damier Ebene GM...

Ooooh a Neverfull would make one fabulous school tote. Although I don't know about the strap.. with all your books and stuff it might not be the most comfortable thing. Stylish though, yes.

If I was still in school and needed a backpack, I'd probably go with the Juicy. In college, I would have used the Prada. Just something a bit older and shows your more serious about where you are and where you want to go.

Me too! It looks classy and elegant, though I must admit I love all the pockets in the Tory Burch Stitched Backpack. However my fave is a ivory colored leather backpack from Toscanella ... not really suitable for school but it great when you are site seeing and need to carry the essentials (camera, water bottle, lipstick, passport...)

I love the Prada Nylon backpacks. So durable and resistant to spills and rain. I also love the pink and blue Burberry backpacks too. I like how these bags don't have monograms all over them and they look appropriate for college. Plus I love the mesh pockets on the Burberry, very convenient when carrying a water/soda bottle.

If I were to use a Coach backpack, I'd use these instead. More mature and professional looking compared to that Pink Poppy bag.

Varick Backpack (I think this one belongs to the Mens collection though)

Another one, this one's simply called, "Backpack."

And finally, the Studio Legacy. I've always lusted over this bag for some reason...
LUSTING: TREESJE Mini Magnolia or Asher (w/braided handle), Black/Gunmetal Jovi or Crimson
ARRIVING SOON: Rebecca Minkoff the Affair & Kiss Clutch in Fine Wine (on a major ban till 2011)

I really love this backpack - it's very classic and beautiful leather. The canvas straps are a little more comfortable I think than leather. I've only tried it on, I don't actually own this one!!

Tory Burch has come out with some really amazing totes lately, a little more serious and sophisticated than her typical totes. I think it is college appropriate, but still young and fun. I don't understand those girls who bring designer bags to school. I know bags are to be used and carried and they are supposed to be functional but really? Bring a $1,000 bag to carry your books and all your college stuff? I would be scared to ruin my bag, besides in the classrooms sometimes you don't have a free chair where to place your bag so you have to lay it on the ground and in the end it'll get ruined.
    That's my personal opinion though
