Default Foley + Corinna City Tote vs Un Apres-Midi de Chien Post Q Tote

Who doesnít love options? I was approached by a sales associate at my local Saks outlet and was asked if I had seen their latest arrival, the two-in-one handbag (she must have barely spotted them). I was familiar with the style since a couple of tBFers proudly own the famous City Tote by Foley + Corinna, but I hadnít experienced what a great style it was in person.

Our friends at ShopBop and their wonderful sales have both the City Tote by Foley + Corinna and the Post Q Tote by Un Apres-Midi de Chien marked down in the sales section (only selected colors on the City Tote).

This is just one of the many examples of designer inspirations and competition. Foley + Corinna with its original design features a zipper up front when expanded and nice pebbled leather, while Apres-Midiís version consists of bubbly nylon and faux patent leather trim. From pure description itís quick to note that one style definitely differs in price wise than the other. Both feature double rolled handles, multiple pockets and the handy detachable shoulder straps. Since Iím not the greatest fan of nylon handbags, my vote goes to the original City Tote. Which is your pick?

Regardless, donít deny the great sales going on right now over at: Shopbop

This is a tough one. But after looking at the pictures of the Post Q Tote, I have to say that one gets my vote. I like the extra details: zipper sides, hot pink interior, etc. . . . . Not for me though.

I too like the City better.

the quilting on the tote makes it too bulky looking...not a fan of that look.

I like the FC more, though I'm also a fan of Un Apres-Midi de Chien (styles during the late 1990s & early 2000).

The puffed style of Un Apres-Midi de Chien pictured above by VLJ reminds me of the collaboration between Fendi and Moncler.

LMA that bag you showed is pretty nice. Not a fan of the quilted look too, maybe coz it looks really bulky.

My vote goes to the F+C City Tote because it is something that is classic, will always be in-style, simple, and it comes in so many different colors.
I'm thinking about buying a gold or silver metallic, or a beautiful pink one as a Christmas present to myself as a reward for saving enough money.
