    Blush Too much leather conditioner?

Is there such a thing as using too much leather conditioner on your bag?

And if so, why? What happens if you do?

(Sorry if it's kind of a silly question... )

I guess it depends on the conditioner. If it is a silicone based product then YES, you can have too much as it over saturates the leather and could possibly ruin it. If you are using a natural based product free of silicone I wouldn't think it would hurt. That is unless you are conditioning everyday and that would be odd.

    Are you using Apple Care?

I love the Apple Care line but am careful to only condition once a year or so, and I use the products sparingly.
I can tell by looking at a bag that it's time for a little TLC.

Too much conditioner leads to massive staining. Also, you need to be careful when cleaning your leather.

I use Wilson's TLC (Tender Leather Care) Conditioner which has no silicone and no wax and I think I like it, but sometimes my bags still look really dried out. KWIM?

So my question is, how can you tell when a bag "needs" it?

Also, I used to use Wilson's TLC Leather & Suede Protector and I absolutely LOVE that stuff! I'd totally swear by it! But unfortunately since Wilson's is going out of business, they're not selling it anymore.

I try to use the Apple Guard Rain & Stain Repellent spray but I can't stand the smell of it. The fumes make me sick even if I do it outside or in a well ventilated area.

Any other suggestions on what I can use for a stain repellent/protection?

Wilson's Outlet stores are still carrying the TLC products. Do you live near an outlet?

I notice a dead or lifeless quality to the leather that tells me to get out the Apple.
Also Apple Guard is good for LV, but use it outdoors.

She doesn't like the smell of the Apple water repellent.
