    Question Brand Loyalty?

I'm definitely more brand loyal when it comes to cosmetic brands than handbag brands.

How many people feel they are brand loyal? Just wondering.
If yes, why to this particular brand?
"No" can also be about why you have changed your mind about this particular brand? etc. etc.

For me, most seasons I'm wondering what Chanel, Prada, Chloe, Juicy Couture, Hayden-Harnett are doing at the current time. I've also added Katherine Kwei to the list.

*Sorry, wanted to clarify specifically handbag brand loyalty- probably my fault for not making it clearer* Thanks, I do appreciate all the posts.

Hmm, I'm pretty brand loyal to LV. They have designs I like and their handbags hold up for a looooong time justifying the price tag for me. My great aunt has several that are still in GREAT shape. They also maintain manufacturing in the US, Spain, France and Italy as opposed to China. I feel better when a large pricetag goes to support a living wage. Also, my repair issues have been taken care of promptly and stress free.

I do have some other designers but at this point my collection is 85% LV. Although Rebecca Minkoff's spring collection is drawing my eye.

I'm very brand loyal almost to an ocd level. I only wear LV bags, it's just what I like but I appreciate all designers in all price ranges, it's just what I settled into. I dress my boys in almost all RL shirts bec. I just like the colors, style and quality, and they pass down nicely. I myself wear basically two brands of button down shirts, one is a cheapie that I get from K-mart, they're amazing you can wash and hang them up, that brand is called 'Attention' and they're perfection in a button down blouse, I'm an addict, I must have around 30. The other thing I wear is a little funny, it's a boy size 12 in RL cotton crew neck sweaters and button downs, lol. I do wear girls cable knit RL sweaters too but I like the boys cotton ones better. I like the colors and they're classics and no one is wearing what I'm wearing. I like Banana Republic skirts too. I also like Benetton for their little cardigans, I have a bunch, when I find something I like I get it in every color.

I always wear MAC lipglass except for one lipgloss I have that is a drugstore brand no idea which brand it is, lol that I also wear every so often. And I only use the pink/green maybelline mascara, lol, great lash. Almay for my makeup remover eye pads and liquid liner, wouldn't dream of switching brands. I always buy my kids shoes in the same stride rite store. I eat the same thing for breakfast every day, Danon coffee yogurt lol, my brand loyalty is in food too.

The list goes on, but those are the ones that come to mind. I'm the definition of a loyal customer. I'm living in my neighborhood for almost 9 yrs. and I've never been in a gazillion stores on the Main strip of stores bec. I hate change and can't even bring myself into the store for the different experience, weird like that, almost phobic but of course not, but I would get uncomfortable. I just always go to the same small handful of stores, can't get out of my comfort zone.

Curious to see other people's replies.

I've gone through phases. There was one year, about 5 yrs. ago when I went through the Juicy phase and had a ton of the hoodies and the l/s tees w/ the cutesy sayings on them. And then for 2 yrs. I had a Primp wardrobe, lots of those thermals w/ the rhinestones and a bunch of the sweatshirts. I don't wear any of that now, I got so sick of it, I can't even look at a J zipper or rhinestone lol.

I settled into LV bec. they make classic styles that you can't put a date or season on them, that's what drew me to the brand and what my collection consists of primarily.

I think I'm pretty loyal to LV too..I did start looking at Gucci bags at one point and I love the way other bags look, like Balenciaga and of course Chanel...but i don't think i'll ever get around to buying them... I think I'm so in love with the craftsmanship...I have other bags though, either gifts or older bags...and I still keep them, but I never use them anymore...But can't stand to let them go...I also love the way the leather changes on the LV...

    Interesting question.

Unless it is electronics, I am not all that brand loyal. I like trying different brands (whether it be food or clothes or purses or whatever).

That said, let's say I am given two purses to choose from: purse A and purse B. They are the same price ($500), very similar in style/shape/size/etc. I am familiar with the designer of purse A (whether it be from word of mouth or experience (and it is all good)) but have never heard of the designer of purse B. Given this situation, I will always choose purse A. I don't like to spend a lot of money on brands I am not familiar with. If the two purses had cost less than $20, I probably would have gone with whichever appealed to me more.

Electronics I am extremely brand loyal. I am an Apple girl all the way- my dad is the same way. I *hate* having to use the computers at my school because they are Windows. Ick.

I would say I am 'brand loyal' to:

Bare Minerals - because their products are awesome & they feel great on my face.

Anything at Target because they have great designed stuff for a low price!! The quality isn't bad either.

I am brand loyal to LV.... most of my bags and accessories are LV, with a few Chanel, one Burberry. I have LV scarves, burberry scarves, and a few tops and jackets. I buy a lot of clothing for myself and kids from Ralph Lauren, I am not "loyal" as such, I buy middle of the range designer clothing like RL etc.

With makeup, I use a mix of Napoleon and Shiseido for foundation... YSL touche eclat, and Dior skinflash.....been using that for years so very loyal, lol. Diorshow unlimited mascara (best ever!). Chanel, Dior, Napoleon and Mac eyeshadows, Mac lipglass, Napoleon lipglass, Chanel or Dior gloss. Chanel eyeliners are the best.... Lancome/mac lipliner. Stila gloss is also a fave. I used to work as a makeup artist so I have a HUGE collection of makeup... I have it stockpiled, so much is unopened lol, it's my other obssession.

I don't really think that I am brand loyal. Although I have to agree with Jess that I think Target does have good quality designed stuff for a low price.

Done...I think...Until I find something that catches my eye

My big bag purchases have been YSL and Juicy. Those are the two brands I really only like and kind of stick to them for most accessories.

~I'm def. brand loyal. I only buy LV bags and accessories, MAC for make-up. As for clothing, I like Max Studio and 9 West. Oh alright, sometimes I strayed over to RL and Michael Kors. I think that because I'm loyal to these brands because it has to do w/ my self-diagnosed OCD.~

Thanks for your post; you're definitely brand loyal. It's amazing to me because the world is filled with so many different choices yet there can still be brand loyalty. It's good for you that you've found companies that you like very much.
