    Default Premier Designer vs. Designer?

In terms of handbags, would you choose premier designer over designer or the reverse and why? (Meaning= 30K worth of bags either way you choose e.g. fewer premier designer for more designer)

e.g. premier designer: Valentino, Prada, etc.
    versus
e.g. designer: Rebecca Minkoff, Bulga, etc.

    (semi-philosophical bag question)

Hm, good question. I guess for me...it's Designer & I'd like a few hints of Premier Designer someday, lol!

I don't discriminate against bags, lol! If I like it, I'll buy it!

I guess, personally for me, I prefer quantity since I like switching bags so much and since I'm not a billionaire bag lover, I have to make my choices. If I could stick only to basic colors like black, brown, ivory, I may have answered the other way? I'm interested how others will answer...

    BTW, thanks for responding =).

I am not sure. It would depend on the bag. I tend to like bags of all price ranges (I have bags that I adore that I got for a couple bucks and bags that cost a few hundred), but I think I am more attracted to the designer bags. I would want premium designer bags too, but not as many as designer bags.

The most important thing is that the bag fit well in my lifestyle.

It is a mixture of quality and quantity for me. I want bags that will last, but I also need bags that I can toss around and not worry about it. I enjoy going to the shooting range, and I would be sacred to bring Hermes or even Coach to there.

Sooo... I think what I am trying is that there are certain areas of my life where I prefer quality (i.e. going to the Opera with an Hermes or LV clutch) and areas where I prefer quantity (i.e. school. I like to change my school purses daily).

That's a great point you brought up with lifestyle e.g. opera versus shooting range and how it influences choice of bag for you.

Hmm... mostly "designer" simply because Mr BRS would probably divorce me if I spent a couple grand on something as "stupid" a bag.

Funny you ask this question, because this is what I have been trying to do with my own collection. I try to buy premier designer bags for more neutral and classic bags, stuff I will have for a long time. Then when I want loud colors, or something not so classic, but more of a trendy look, I go for designer. Then in 2 years if I no longer want it, I didn't spend a fortune.

    Good post!

For me it's mainly LV ~ so I guess "Premier"...but I also get some "designer" thrown in from by family/friends....So, I use them for work with my LV accessories thrown in for me.

BRS .. when I first started dating my fiance' (then boyfriend ) he could not understand why a lady would pay more than 30 bucks for a purse !!! He has changed his tune over the past 4 or so years (he he ).

That's a good strategy. Makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the compliment. I try my best to start good posts, at least contribute in some way.
