I was just wondering if any of you Gucci guru's can tell me do all NEW Gucci bags come with boxes, control cards, tags, dust bags? I see so many selling but the boxes and tags are not shown in the pictures and no mention of them in descriptions. Thanks and great site!

Can anyone tell me if this Gucci is an authentic purse? I was given this purse and I am not sure if it is authentic or not. I know that this purse is very old. I NEED YOUR HELP!!

It's a fake... fake made of a vintage style to be more specific.

The bad alignment is a dead giveaway... but there are other things wrong as well, like the overall details of the style.

This is all new to me. Could you explain what you mean by the bad alignment and over all details of the style that gives it away as fake. I really don't have that much knowledge about Gucci purses, Sorry. Thank you for your help.

What you have is what looks to be a "cross" between these two styles of vintage doctor bag:

I borrowed these images from this ebay guide:

She has a pretty good guide to fake Gucci and she has tons of pictures of real and fake ones.
If you compare the pictures to the one you have, you'll start to notice differences between them. Your bag isn't really exactly like one or the other.
Alignment simply means that ALL designers (whether Gucci, Chanel, LV, Coach) like to have their patterns perfectly lined up and centered. It's kind of hard to see how they have it lined up in the picture I provided... but the pattern is centered with the center of the bag and it is one continuous piece of fabric all the way across. Your bag, the pattern is shifted off to one side a bit and it looks like the pattern isn't lining up vertically on each side of the leather pieces.

I don't know that much about purses. I just recently got into them. My Aunt passed away recently and she left some of her purses to her nieces. Well, my sister put this one away for me cause she figured I would like the color brown of it. Which I do love it, by the way. Of course I'll like it and wear it either way if it's real or not just for the fact that it was her purse. When I've worn it people have asked if it's real and I don't have an answer except for "I don't know". I would just like to know so that I can have an answer if anybody asks me again. The pictures aren't that great. Some people said that there would be gucci on the zipper but this one doesn't have anything on it. Some people can tell just by looking at the gucci stamp on it but of course I can't tell. Someone please help.

As for your information,
Authentic Gucci handbags have tracking numbers embossed on the inside of the purse.

Is that a dust bag in the first pic? Gucci dust bags don't look like that.

Are you sure? I recently purchased a bag directly from the Gucci boutique. The dust bag was like that. Same material, same lettering everything. Are you thinking of the old style black dust bags. I have one like that as well... but it's much older.
