Default Funky Smell on my Vintage Gucci

Hello!!

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about removing smells from the Gucci leather, particularly the "old" smell! hah! Thanks in advance!

Did you try just letting it air out? Or what about taking it to get professionally cleaned

Most times, the "old" smell is a result of dampness.
Try to put a packet of silica gel into the bag, it will absorb all moisture and hopefully the smell.
Silica is toxic if ingested. So make sure not to keep it around pets or kids!

I use the Odor-Out Bag Candies from lovinmybags.com.

You open the wrapping, and just place the whole thing inside your bag for a few days (zip closed if possible). It removes all musty, smoky, mothy smells and leaves a really nice scent behind!

I've heard that cat litter does a good job of absorbing smells but I've never tried it myself. Those odor out bag candies sound great!

I've put Bounce dryer sheets in bags before and it seems to work a bit. At any rate, it at least covers up a the smell a little. LOL!

Coffee grounds (DRY) does wonders for absorbing odors, too.
