Bag Trend: The canvas shoulder strap
A lot of designers this season are going through a sporty strap phase. Where instead of the usual leather or chain strap, the bags are topped off with a thick detachable cotton canvas shoulder strap. What do you guys think of it?


When it comes to comfort, I’m not complaining. Especially when it comes to a day bag that might be on my shoulder for 4+ hours. Like for instance when you’re out on a shopping trip, you don’t want to carry a bag that’s uncomfortable on your shoulder or that will keep you fidgeting every 5 minutes to keep from sliding down.

Something about the MJ Cecilia is off to me but I like the Marni Balloon. I love it when bags come with optional shoulder straps. Even if I don't use strap, I like the way they look just hanging off the bag.

I actually kinda like them... I'm not sure about the black ones with the black bags though, that does look a little weird.

i really hated these at first, but they are kind of growing on me, i still dont think i'd buy one, but i dont loathe them completely anymore.

I totally agree. I think a nice leather or chain strap would make the bags looks so much nicer...

I like and prefer to use a bag with canvas shoulder strap like the Lambertson strap because of it's yummy color tangerine .

I like the canvas shoulder strap.. but not all since some of them cut to my skin when they're too hard.

I do like the canvas strap on some bags. The black strap is ugly though, it reminds me of something on a gym bag or my boyfriend's Xbox bag, lol.
