January 29, 2008 Bag Trend: The canvas shoulder strap
A lot of designers this season are going through a sporty strap phase. Where instead of the usual leather or chain strap, the bags are topped off with a thick detachable cotton canvas shoulder strap. What do you guys think of it?
When it comes to comfort, I’m not complaining. Especially when it comes to a day bag that might be on my shoulder for 4+ hours. Like for instance when you’re out on a shopping trip, you don’t want to carry a bag that’s uncomfortable on your shoulder or that will keep you fidgeting every 5 minutes to keep from sliding down.

Something about the MJ Cecilia is off to me but I like the Marni Balloon. I love it when bags come with optional shoulder straps. Even if I don't use strap, I like the way they look just hanging off the bag.

I dunno... I much prefer a leather or chain strap instead... 
I'm not sure about the black ones with the black bags though, that does look a little weird.
