I had read once that a very prominent Asian diplomat and his wife were invited to a Louis Vuitton event in Paris, and the wife sported a fake LV. The story goes, when she met the host, (who was either a relative of Vuitton or the company president), he immediately demanded she leave the event. Not sure if this is an urban legend, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit !!

I have a Kate Spade I was told was a fake. It belonged to my daughters sis in law she swears it isnt fake. But ebay Vera said it was ,,alas!

Awwww... ok some kate spade bags do not look too fab. but i love their colors!!! I own a few kate spade products (3 bags - 1 tote which i absolutely love and i carry it for school, another hand carry tote which I have not used, a drawstring leather handbag in brown, totally cute too + 1 wallet) and was told my Kate Spade wallet looks cute by a cashier

Anyways, i think some of their bags are pretty cute, especially because I love the youthful and vibrant energy/vibe of some of the bags (which I'm sure some would consider way too obnoxious looking or loud). Depends on the occasion though... their bags are usually pretty practical, I feel..cos its simple enough for everyday use. I'm just drawn to the youthful colors and a kate spade bag is usually affordable, so you can buy 1 or 2 (in a mth) without stretching your paycheck

Oh speaking of plain looking bags... I think Prada is horrible looking (no offense to ppl who love prada products). Even the authentic ones look like knock-offs (sorry no offense again to ppl who love prada bags!).

But yeah, I agree... one reason why i dont carry a fake is cos there is always someone who will be able to spot a fake and call you out on that. And if you carry a fake knowingly (if its a gift and u dont know any better, then u should be excused) and someone u know calls you out, whatever authentic designer goods that you own will immediately be called into suspicion. So yeah, not worth risking it!

ive been seeing quite a few gals carrying a Chanel bag that looks horrendous (no offense to Chanel bag lovers! Some designs look adorable too..except for this particular one). It looks like a fake but I dont know Chanel bags enough ... huge Chanel logo in white on the side of a black bag... It looks really obnoxious and plain :P

I agree about some people not knowing they have replicas. I saw a lady the other day with a cole haan that looked very strange to me. Do they even make fake cole haan bags? I kept staring at her bag and when she turned around all I could say was "Is that Cole Haan?" She said yes I got it in Atlanta..and I was still not convinced that it was real because I've seen them many times before and it just looked really off..I'm sure if I were Kate Spade and put as much time and energy into producing my own handbag line, then I would definitely have the nerve to approach someone about a fake. Good for her! She needs to stand up and call them out!

Thanks for the Kate love! I was starting to feel alone in here. I love her stuff, and it's only gotten better IMO. Also I agree that some Chanel bags are a little...much. Not all, but some. I am more of a classics type girl anyway. And the fakes are even sadder.
