Default What would make you buy a "cheap" handbag...

so i notice the luxury handbags are really the only market out there now. what about bags priced from $15-60? i've become oblivious to this price market because to me - i want something that'll last forever and usually cheaper bags are either TOO trendy, TOO fake (ie: poorly knocking off high-end bags) and are using really sad leather ... leather that clearly looks cheap.

what's your view on great bag silhouettes with cheaper fabric choices? say... a tweed bag with a great silhouette that's at like $50.

if you were looking to pay a cheap amount for a bag... why would you do it and what would you be looking for in a bag at that price?

There's nothing "wrong" with a cheap bag as long as its not a knock-off of something else. I see cute enough bags in cheaper labels like Nine West, Fossil, and Liz Claiborne. Hmm... I guess I would have to say that I would only buy a cheap bag if it was super cute and something that I wouldn't plan on using for more than one season.

I think this Fossil bag would be super cute for summer... but I would probably get sick of the dots after awhile:

Allie Mini Hobo $58

And I think this Nine West clutch would be super cute for going to a wedding or something. I wouldn't use it very often... so its reasonable to say I wouldn't want to spend a ton of money on it.

Broken Glass Small Clutch $39.99

Some childish obsession and a sense that its collectible in its own way. I'm currently into those Monokuro Boo stationary goods but I'm also wanting a bag as well. I just love the little pigs.
I also like Classic Winnie the Pooh. And some memorabilia souvenir from a travel destination that I want as a keepsake.

I can see only spending $15-$60 on a clutch. Only because I like larger handbags and would only carry a clutch for an evening or formal dress occasion.

As I tend to baby my handbags and keep them for a long time, the only time I would buy a "cheap" bag is when I need a new cosmetic bag. As these are prone to marks from makeup, I don't bother spending a lot.

my latest "cheap finds" were both vintage... a ostrich long wallet (could pass as a clutch) and a python purse

I still wear cheaper handbags with cutesy outfits.... but I always feel as though I am lacking something as strange as that sounds.
And stranger than that.... if I am carrying a cheaper handbag and I see someone carrying an LV and I dont have one of mine.... I feel.... bad. I dont know how to describe it....

I have bought novelty styles that catches my eye. The bag seems to last just long enough, until until I'm bored with it! My classic coach never bores me!!
