Did you guys happen to catch last wednesdays edition of the View with Michelle Obama? wowOwow named that dress! Michelle, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama wore a dress from White House / Black Market, designed by Donna Ricco. Donna Ricco is a long time successful fashion designer, but it took Michelle Obama to make her one piece an overnight must-have. Virtually overnight, the dress sold out.

"I’m very happy. I'm very surprised. I had no idea she would be wearing this dress," Ricco told TODAY’s Meredith Vieira Friday in New York. "But it's sort of a natural happening for me, because I've been designing dresses a long time. We ship a lot of dresses to the stores, and I’m happy that Michelle chose this dress to wear on 'The View.' "

The White House/Black Market website this morning features what they're calling their "Road to the White House" dress on their homepage. The dress is called the “Tank Leaf Print Dress” and sells for $148. It's actually currently sold out now until the they get a new shipment in, which expected to be in mid-August.

White House/Black Market operates 322 boutiques and 19 outlets nationwide.

I saw the show. She looked fabulous. She is 5'11" and very toned has a nice personality, very smart.. She put a brooch on the left shoulder strap that was a black flower sort of thing.
