Well I should start by saying that i own alot of clothes and shoes and i figured to stop myself from spending so much money so often (really it's more about the so often part) that I should only get designer. That way i won't be shopping as much because I really consider my designer purchases.

I will also donate some stuff from my closet everytime I buy something new.

And I will only get good quality, classic pieces that I can wear in the long into the future.

I don't sound crazy do I? Am I being shallow?

i don't think you are shallow at all. i think its a good idea to buy a really nice deigner piece here and there instead of spending all the time on whatever brand. and you are right about the quality as well.

Just be careful... not all "designer" things are durable. LOL! But yeah, I agree that its better to spend more on better quality things if that means that they will last longer. Its like an investment, you know? But don't feel obligated to stick to the plan 100% of the time. If you see something that you really like and its not an expensive brand, then its still okay.

no. i do that with my bags. i refrain from buying all handbags wheter its $10 or $300 to save up for more expensive designer bags. i'd rather own one quality designer bag than 100 no name bags.
